  1. I can direct you to the joke thread with the picture of the duck . You won't be disappointed , least I wasn't . 🙂 Any way Owls .
  2. One thing that I did think about was the simplex timing chain set up . On the previous engine there was a duplex timing chain mod available . Don't know if there is one for my engine yet .
  3. London , Liverpool , Birmingham , Sheffield , Manchester , Coventry , Southampton .
  4. Understood . Just the height of the poles looked like a pen . Normally they ( the deer ) would jump a 6 foot fence but not so much an 8/10 foot one .
  5. See that's where I have a little bit of a conflict . WILD Geese and the words FEEDING TIME 🙂
  6. With Tunit if you tell them what vehicule and what your requirements are they will set it roughly to what you want and then if you can get to one of thier workshops fine tune it with a laptop .
  7. Andy . I have nothing to gain by making this up . I don't have shares in the company and I am not on comision . I am just recounting what I have found ( along with many others it seems ) I was skeptical but I am now pleased .
  8. So not telling the truth then ?
  9. I am lucky enough to live close to the old Goodwood airdrome and race track . There is a resident Spitfire and during the summer months it is up above us most afternoon/evenings . Sometimes it has a partner from another part of the county and they fly together for a bit then the other one flies home . Not sure where that is . The Goodwood revival brings all kinds of old aircraft including a couple of ME 109s and a Mustang P51 which also has the Merlin engine ( built under lenience by Packard ) .
  10. Have you considered battery rather than corded . No restriction ....
  11. Oh , just a note , mine was tweeked by the manufacturers when I mentioned my truck was a manual box. I find now that when bimbeling at 30 - 40 mph I need the very lightest touch on the throttle and can have it in a higher gear than before . E.G. 6th gear at 40mph is now possible . Before it would obviously be laboring . I presume this is down to more torque ? Also I have had to re learn my throttle foot . For " normal " driving much less downward pressure on the loud pedal is needed to achieve similar progress as before .
  12. I like the way the 4 Merlins set off a car alarm 🙂
  13. I would say neither . You made that choice to do that . Just to be clear I did the same . 🙂
  14. Refered to as " long dogs " here .
  15. I don't particularly have a problem with deliberate cross breeding having had a Sprocker myself but at least that was Spaniel on Spaniel . There seems to be a glut of " Labradoodle " and " Cockerpoo " dogs at the moment . Came across a new one to me this morning ....a " Sheepadoodle " This is , as the name suggests a cross between an already crossed " Labradoodle " and an Old English sheep dog . This was deliberate for reasons un known to me . Is it just a fasion/fad thing or are there other reasons for it ? Any one have any thoughts ?
  16. Just fitted on my Navara NP300 Nguard ( or my mate did as he is a mechanic and I am not ) the " Tunit " box and blue tooth power pedal . The claim is to up the bhp from the standard 190bhp to 237bhp with a 12%-15% increase in fuel economy . Me being skeptical could not work out how you can get more grunt using less fuel but it does ! The " power pedal " alters throttle response and the box ups the BHP and torque and so far it is doing what it claims . The only reason I went for it is because the mate who fitted it has had one on his Shogan for a couple of years and rates it . Oh the company is called " Tunit " by the way .
  17. There is a version of the Tulip tree referred to in the USA as" yellow Poplar " were the leaves are more like this one . Could it be that ?
