  1. Don't know why TBH . I have High top filters on 372,390,and 395 . . Find they work well .
  2. Still running the stock yellow one . on my second as I poked a hole in the first one Doh! Might try and get the "high top" filter housing from an American 562 and fit the heavy duty flock filter . All my big saws run them .
  3. That's how I see it bud . Well said .
  4. Being a Willow it could still sprout again . Then you would have the perfect hide !
  5. The least laborer intensive fire wood . Seasons quickly splits easy peasy lemon squeesy and burns a treat . Keep em all .
  6. Bad news once again . Sorry to hear it bud . If I had my way I'd have thier hands off .
  7. Stove going like a goodun in anticipation of going nippie over night tonight .
  8. Why didn't they pick the cheese up and tap it back in the gob ! ?
  9. Both the cork screw and the hydraulic are road tow able and have their own engines . The yellow one has a Honda 11hp and the red one has a 6.5hp and is 20ton force . I like the fact it is double ended anvil as you can load both ends and split on the return stroke . The cork screw is faster but only good on easy splitting stuff like ash syc and beech . It needs more torque from a larger engine really . The hydraulic is not as fast but I have yet to find anything it wont split .
  10. I Recon its been ripped of a Randy Duncan listing . He uses the phrase " The go to guy for chain saw parts " .
  11. See if you can get the american market 562 " hightop " housing and heavy duty filter .
  12. You need a 550 or a 560 then .
  13. Hi and welcome to the forum . Ex para will certainly be tough enough ! You sound very positive and I am sure you will succeed. Good luck with everything bud .
  14. Sorry never tried one .. nor has anyone else it seems .
  15. Well I think the 390XP is a good saw as I have had no problems with mine save a screw came out on the exhaust bracket , no biggie . I bought it to replace my stolen 385XP . The rule of thumb is big power head short bar = fast cut . That does not mean you need 100cc on a 13" bar ! A 390 will run a 28" bar nio probs . But if you don't need to cut that bigger timber then you don't need that bigger saw . Remember the bigger the power head the more it will weigh . You got to lug it all day . You should be able to cut diameters of twice your bar length if needs be .
  16. Yep got one of those too . Good saw up to 20" bar . Will run a 24 .
