Purely from a tree climbers perspective they are without doubt a very tough and hard wood , any torn branches and limbs take on that durable look similar to sweet chestnut , pines etc taking a long long time to rot .. -
Very encouraging to hear people so enthusiastic about hearing the first cuckoo , great bunch on here no doubt about it !!

One of the best examples I've seen was on spring watch and it was a sparrow hawk drowning a magpie in a birdbath , bit macabre but was a great instance showing how a bird of prey can't afford a struggle with its prey ...amazing

Classic cut on lombardys and pollards with many straight poles . As above , sharp chain a must . This is not a cut for cs31 IMO ..

I am in a Vienna based tree company and work in Germany quite regular . We have just opened a small office in Köln and think they are Looking for someone at the Moment . Must admit i hate working there tbh and none of the other Lads like it either . If you are intending to stay there on the long term language is very very important imo .

Hey folks there is an Arborist position available here in Vienna , Austria . The job is with Baumchirurgie Saller and is advertised on ' arb jobs ' .
