  1. I think this probably shows some weakness in the quotation stage of this operation. I have, and I am sure many have, been caught out like this. You quote for one thing and then after wards the customer comes out and cracks on how they thought your were doing something different. It is really important to list every detail in the quote including pictures and diagrams so that you are sure every one is on the same page. If they accept the quote then you have something to fall back on. Sorry I know this does not help your situation now bit hopefully in the future. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. Can you still get the cinch? I thought that was not made anymore Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. Second hand vehicles is a complete gamble. But saying that so are new ones. I don't know what to say. Nice people sell nice cars- a rule that has worked out well in the past. Got a transit that I paid 2250 for. Took very little to get through first mot and hasn't broke down yet but I am handy on the spanners and can notice things before they develop. Wouldn't mind something newer looking because people say the van looks a bit of a traveler wagon. But the truth is that it is the travelers with the newest smart looking tippers. 4. Pure comedy. I did this once in my youth, got caught aquirring somebody's timber. I knew full well it belonged to someone- as does everything. I apologised and placed back where it came from. No need to be a dick about it when I knew I was chancing it in the first place. Obviously with the wisdom of age it is not the sort of thing I would do now as I know, full well, the amount of work that goes into getting the timber on the deck. And if the owner wants to let it rot then that is their right.
  5. Well yeah thanks for that ... would not want to be wearing a used helmet or boots Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. I remember starting somewhere and was in second hand boots and trousers. If I got offered that these days I would tell um where to go. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  7. Chance you got to take I am afraid. It's a legal requirement for employers to provide ppe. Obviously you get to keep it when they leave, make sure it's in the contract, but it is not good practice to hand out second hand ppe. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. Yeah got the newer model. Excellent to drive, like a go kart, but it is a tad smaller inside than the old one. Need something bigger to get the mountain bike in- thinking citroen nemo Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. I got a set from them and had no problems. They pick up my blades no problem- not quite the 3 day turn around like quoted, more like a week, but I am happy Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  10. All of the 6 speed vauxhalls have week gearboxes, but at that milage you have plenty of motering before any problems. As it's common it's hard to find a second hand box in good condition. Got a 5 speed number on a 58 plate, goes like the clappers and good on diesel. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  11. my old 528 jensen of 1999 vintage is still going strong- better than some newer (poorly maintained) ones i have used recently.. 5 stud axle... think that says it all
  12. The other half don't get a say. A decent pair of trousers is essential as is boot's, your in um for 12 hours at a time! T Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  13. I have two pairs of the sip inovation trousers. One is two years old and the other 4 years. Crotch on one went and then stitching on the fly and the beginnings of the crotch going on the other. Gave em to my neighbour and she sewed um up. The old pair i hadnt worn for two years! Both pairs I got for £130 each, at different times. Amazingly hard wearing- shame about the pocket zips- and still look great after all this time. I was thinking about buying a new pair of trousers, not sure anything is going to be as durable and I could buy two pairs of the sips for one pair of pfanners. Stick to what you know or follow the crowd and get the fashionable strides? [emoji39] Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  14. All depends who does the remap. Matey with the ranger... could that not be the shaft breaking off the oil pump, common fault, causing seizure?? Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  15. A company I sub into use stuff that won't pop through the side of the metal bits. Ie you have to pull the metal bits out of the bump head and thread them onto the cord. Imo it's not the stuff for the job. To thick. Waste of time getting it in Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  16. I only get line welded together when u once used some real thick line, found it to be crap. Hard to load and to much drag not enough queen Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  17. I use the 4mm yellow oregon stuff. Good in grass and can have a good crack at brambles and light scrub. I use a stihl bump head on an fs400 ,and other stihls, and find it to perform very well. I use a mulhing blade on anything other than grass. All my opinion Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  18. The first 550 I had came with a 560 style clutch. Bamboozled my local husky dealer for a bit. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  19. Just chopped in my 441, pre carb, for a new 461. Why hadn't I done it sooner!! 441 would pull a 25 balls deep it was struggling a bit. However the 461 is a demon!! Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  20. O dear. I have gone back to standard chain and bar my self. Had narrow kerf bars but the nose sprockets kept breaking up after a month or so Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  21. Anti stress seems to kick in fairly quickly Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  22. Yeah I wouldn't mind if we weren't subsidising them. Seemingly they come in well cheap, working at a loss, and shoddy standards Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  23. Yeah I would be interested in views on the Peugeot citroen bipper van. Just chopped my 05 corsa van (brilliant van) in for next model 09 plate. Ecu now waked, common problem as they get rainwater in them. Also it's bigger dimensions on the outside and smaller on the inside then the older shape. Does drive brilliantly but it is not as economical as the old one.( both 1.3 diesels) spoke to a specialist who said it is a fiat engine which would explain the electrical problems- damn Italians!!!!! Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. 52 plate transit single cab steel body, although may way less than some as more rust then metal, multistage ram. No tools and 70kg driver = 2250kg that was on the weigh bridge at the scrap yard. And before you say it I wasn't looking at weighing the truck in!!! Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  25. Audi rs6 makes a purrs fair under pressure. Mind you anything v8 sounds good to me!! Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
