  1. So thats a 7.5tonner/chipper and three bods including a climber!? You cn work for me and i'll stay at home mate!! If that was my setup id be looking for as close 600 a day as i could get.
  2. :thumbup1:Many thanks Laurie
  3. Just an observation here. How will having a mog make less trips?? They hold slightly more than a transit tipper with chipbox. I'd be inclined to find out if there is any work for it in your local area/county before you spend that kind of money. Your not going to be running up and down the country with it because it won't be viable for 350 a day and i'd say you need to build milage into your day rate . I was speaking to a contractor a couple of weeks back on a site clearance who does this and his mog let go in a big way once and he had to sell his l200 to get it back on the road asap like Stephen said.
  4. I think i'm right in saying it's the same engine as the new base model Ranger. Rated at 150hp so should have some poke. Will be interesting to see if LR get the 3.2 engine too, now thats a monster 200hp 450+nm and 28mpg on a run.
  5. What Rob said!! Working away is hardship exercise because everything you buy eats into the bottom line. If your easily led and end up in the pub most nights you'll proberly end up worst off. Plus the ales too dear and too watered down in the south :001_tt2:
  6. Tracked timberwolf now available too
  7. Been let down for next week. Does anyone have any work available. Cheers Gareth
  8. Bump.........bump,bump it up
  9. You know what mate 18k posts in six yrs!! Your obviously good at talking alot without actually saying anything!! I know your a well know and respected arborist at the top of your game and as such i also repect and aspire to be where you are some day. So i'm going to retire from this exchange because quite frankly im bored. Many thanks
  10. No assumptions your defending his actions by making up weak scenario's about poor trees ltd dosn't use his ebay account much and the statment that was implied as a "fact" could have cost him the sale of his truck although you earlier pointed out the rules of not getting conned which anyone with half a brain cell would follow as a point of course when buying a vehicle from ebay. You can't make comments then when some dosn't agree with you say they are making assumptions??
  11. zero rating suggests it's a new account or never used as you gain feedback from buying aswell as selling. The account name trees130 is rather specific to the item listed. Also as stated by yourself the way to not get conned is by viewing the item and paying on collection/delivery!! would you buy a vehicle unseen?? So as i said i would be annoyed but i think threatening legal action is extreme!! and i would have been a bit more down to earth about it! Those are my views, you think it's ok for treesltd to start quoting chapter and verse about legal action this and that. Those are your views and i don't agree with them and if you keep replying so will i because i'm confident in my conviction so lets argree to disagree and have done with it.
  12. Right this is getting up my nose now! The above statment is a careless one that i'm sure nobody on here will replicate. As for leagal action nowhere in the ebay listing does it state Mr Trees ltd's name or trading name, address etc and nowhere in the above statment does it mention any name either so unless trees130 the ebay username that has no feedback want's to take Pooch151 to court there is no case. The bit that really annoys me is that instead of creating a username on here and saying HOLD YOUR HOURSES there son this is my truck and it's not a scam. He created an arbtalk account and started threatening legal action!! Since i started on arbtalk i've found it to be a friendly community and have met some really good people that i've learnt alot from. I just think things can easily get out of hand over nothing. If Pooch151 had started printing flyers rubbishing Trees ltd and delivered them in his local area or started a lets hate trees ltd facebook page then fair do's. But he didn't he made a thoughtless passing comment which consisted of one line just 18 words and thats enough to prompt a response threatening legal action???? Not only that as a tax payer i'd be made to think i'm paying for a QC to sit in judgment over something like this!!!!! Can anyone see why this is down right anoying or am i just living on a different planet to the where theres a blame theres claim culture one everyone seems to be on these days.
  13. I'm no detective and didn't get scammed because as you said i insisted on cash on collection to which i then recieved a msg from ebay saying that the users account had been hacked etc etc. Also as i said he was careless with his words and i'm sure he won't do it again but can you not see why he jumped to the conclusion?? To be fair i'm sick of all this legal action at the drop of a hat lark. It's just making a mountain out of a mole hill!! How has his comment effected or marred Mr Trees ltd's character well it hasn't at worst it's cost him an ebay listing!!! Some people really need to get a grip!!! But anyway i'm not hijacking this poor chaps thread anymore and i do appologise for doing so in the first place. If anyone wishes to continue the convo PM.
  14. Peter what would a single cab hold with hi sides?
  15. Sure the builder/owner of the 6x4 mog is on here. Seen it on a mog thread!!
  16. Any plans to mount a little hiab on it with timber grab?? I'd love something similar to a vahva jussi but can't justify the money they ask!! It's criminal lol
  17. Chill out Mr Trees ltd he may of been off line with his comment but at the end of the day it was just a comment!!! The fact that your selling thousands of pounds worth of vehicle with a zero star rated account kinda raises eyebrows especially on here. I myself once bid on a chipper that was a scam and luckily didn't get caught out when i won it. Maybe you should sell a few orniments or dvd's or logs to get a bit of feedback then climb down off your high horse!! Good day sir.
  18. Snowing but not sticking near Blackpool.
  19. My L200 is a pentioner lol 1996 single cab with mechanical injector pump!! 168k and still going strong. I think vehicle longevity might have something to do with regular maintenance and the operator!! It's not hard to burn clutches and pull back axels out when towing if your a rough operator and i don't care wether it's a Mitsi Ford Mazda Toyota Landrover and the list goes on and on and on!! My parent's have a 54 warrior with just 50k on it and it's hanging off the road. Because my dad is a rough operator and couldn't drive sheep or geese to put it bluntly. Know what your buying and look after it, it'll serve you well!!!!
  20. To Nige!! Top bloke enjoyable days work!..........Even if he is an ex Para :lol:
  21. The engine is a lambardini clone and is proberly the best part of the whole machine lol
  22. :lol:Rate my hinge:lol:
  23. Low milage=can't afford to run it as a car so traded it in for a colt hahaha
  24. I was leaning more towards the older hilux lol i don't deal in the realms of new vehicles
  25. I'm not starting a mud slinging contest but hilux's are gaining the the same apprieciation group status as Land rovers these day's. Prices are too inflated for old nails and i've been in a few that don't have a rear diff lock fitted and to be fair on one occation it was shown up by a 1.6 sport trak with road tyres on!! Of course i blame top gear for this lol I do know every l200 i've been in has a rear diff lock as standard can't comment on the Ranger but you will find a similar age/milage motor for a couple of grand less than a hilux and about ten grand less than defender. From my point of view (one thats skint hahaha) when it comes down to doing the job wether towing or off road i can't find the evidence that a hilux is 2k better than a l200 or a ranger and i really can't justify a defender being ten grand better!!! Of course i'm now going to be publicly executed by men with landrover owners club caps on with pin badges in them lol
