  1. If you're going down the hire route I'd get yourself a CPA membership. They cover people in your position and help with protecting you against damage/negligence whilst hired out.
  2. Technically the sign says its 10 miles away
  3. Either I'm the only one here who watches porn, or this comment was severely underrated.
  4. Within this thread lies a pretty good argument for using your local retailer...
  5. I'll pm you
  6. How far are you willing to travel for one? There's one available near me for self hire but it'll be a fair way for you. Based in Warwickshire
  7. Couldn't ever get on with the popular reecoil lanyards, they get hooked around everything. The cheaper bungee ones do me fine.
  8. Hasn't been a problem so far. If you've stowed the saw by the side handle the exhaust points away from you and if you hang it by a carabiner through the attachment loop on the saw the exhaust points behind you. Fumes are no issue to me, they're much worse when you're in a conny hedge.
  9. Nothing wrong with leaving the saw running while high clipped imo
  10. Are you trolling, Mick?
  11. It's not the end of the world to have s carabiner there to high clip with.
  12. You'd still have to high clip unless you wanted the recoil pull to be more than the weight of the saw. This is like a thread started by the canopy climbing gaylords.
  13. Slim chance of that, someone posted a photo of a trainee leaving a slightly high stump a few years ago and he fully shit the bed and left 🤣
  14. You can if you're able to find one fresh out of school who can listen.
  15. Roll call 🤣
  16. Confirmed troll, just ignore
  17. I think the biggest difference between arb and hort is that we generally don't take cock.
  18. You can get a decent arb compressor with small tank for your van for that money.
  19. Sounds like you'll have to choose which is more important to you. Wealth or remaining in your chosen field. Its a conundrum most of us have considered.
  20. Being offended is a choice.
  21. Assuming there are no sheep in the field.
  22. 30 mins to fully strip and rebuild a saw in the middle of a field with only basic tools? Ambitious
  23. On the bright side I doubt you'll notice that insufferable twat who knows it all better than the trainers. You know, there's usually one on every course.
  24. I wouldn't bother if i were you. There's obviously nothing more for you to learn.
