  1. I wish I could say that I'd been busy with sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Unfortunately they just don't make good rock music any more though.
  2. Haha fair bloody play! Ready when you are!
  3. Any decent climb it's on my foot, I forget it's there, until I'm facing a fair haul and then I'm glad of it
  4. My point is that before you leave the ground you should know if you won't be able to hand hold the branches mate. Doesn't take much to set a rigging point when you're setting your anchor. Seems like we never get the crash it down jobs, so we rig quite a lot of the time. But I've never needed to use my climbing line to do it. Sometimes I do cut a biggish branch, pull it back into the tree, section it and chuck it out in smaller pieces though.
  5. Make sure you can reach the links so you can descend in a hurry should you need to. You don't want the tea going cold before you get down. Looks fine other than that. Thought you had a pantin though? Much easier than pulling down with your arms!
  6. I have a ported one on 18" .325 You could do a lot worse than one of these.
  7. I'll second what Rover said above... The Sugi laminated bars are supposed to be very tough, just not quite as pretty and light as the posh ones!
  8. If it savages a cat (just doing what comes naturally) I'd be very careful about keeping it round your kids. How would you feel if the same dog turned on your kids?
  9. You chauvinistic pig. Unlike you I'm a modern man, and my missus is one lucky bitch.
  10. Apparently Celox can cause major damage to your eyes. The tendency to open a pack with your teeth (if one arm is injured) can cause granules to get in ones eyes, which then causes damage.
  11. Glad to hear it, impressive stuff! My elbows are half shot, and I'm only 25, it's comforting to know that by the time im your age I'll most likely be able to replace them!
  12. I trust yours is going well mate?
  13. What about if your neighbours wife has a beard?
  14. I thought that too, but without trying I wouldn't know. Besides, I've heard that nowadays you can get new knee joints at your local Kwikfit!
  15. The shanks go up the outside of your leg. I'm curious as to how effective they'd be.
  16. Steve told me he gets the odd Husqy in and wonders what's wrong with it. Takes him a minute to realise that's just how they are before porting!
  17. Tell your fella to put some holes in that exhaust. Made me shiver to think my topper was like that once!.
  18. Well a ported saw certainly ain't that! Sod the neighbours though, no stock saw will make you grin like a ported Husqy. You'll always end up with a stock saw that makes you think: "but what if..."
  19. Got me a Spudderized 357. It turns me on.
  20. I'd give my right hand for a ported 346... And I adore my right hand.
  21. If I'd gone to school would I be doing this for a living?
  22. She must be a very patient woman! Lizzie enjoyed most of it but I doubt she'd have stuck around for another day! I've never quite understood the whole noise sensitive thing, unless you're also buying a battery powered chipper!
  23. Yes mate I could really do with a decent catch up. The Husqy rep with the fantastic 'tache was doing his best to extoll the virtues of battery powered saws to me but the Mrs was getting impatient and tbh I wasn't convinced. Besides, you can't be a real tree surgeon with a toy saw. It tells the ladies you have a small willy.
  24. So long as it's kept sharp it'll pull the 25" bar fine Jon. If you're used to it on a 20" bar you'll probably hate it though. If you're doing a lot of cutting on a 25" bar a 660 is the better option, in my opinion.
