  1. Yeah I do I get jealous when I drive past you lads with your sexy green mech turntables, and I'm pulling along our 17 year old Chippit Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. Makes perfect sense. I do this for the big dismantles. I love it. However after two or three days on them I'm ready for some hedge trimming or similar. Neither my body or mind could handle 100% big takedowns! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. Pretty busy this evening. Normally around 60 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Sounds like a good thing you got there Is it 90% street tree reprinting though? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. You a TL or just Climber mate? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. I got the impression Huck based at least the second part of his post on his own experiences with the company in question. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. Offer to work for what the employer thinks your worth for a few days. If you're a lazy toad, the employer won't pay you, but if you work hard and impress, a decent boss should pay you a fair amount. This way it's limited risk for a potential employer, and you may get a foot in the door! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. Think I saw you boys working on the Clifton Road. You had some shiny kit on your harness! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. Thanks Simon, I work for A C Old. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. Yeah bit apparently installing the plumbing into a wig wam is a bitch... Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. The house in the shot was erected in a week! A German company built it from a flat pack kit! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. I have a funny feeling he's sick of 357s! The next saw I sent his way will have to be cleaner than a Nun's knickers! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. One from Draycote Waters last week Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. IMO the hitchclimber and Spiderjack are pretty similar I'm terms of benefits. Ones mechanical, the other is hitch based, that's all. If the op is moving on from a prussik (I'm curious about this "triple prussik") I'd suggest the Hitchclimber since if it's not for him it's less of an investment, and can be tuned to suit climbing styles. Agreed on the pulley as a top anchor though. Each system is pointless without it! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. Incorrect. The bar and chain will both enjoy a prolonged life from using a decent chain lube. The cutters however are not affected. Only thing that blunts chains is wood or for foreign objects in wood. The oil doesn't even come into contact with the teeth. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. How do you figure? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. Zig zag isn't designed for SRT I think. Stick to a hitch and pulley. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. Take the gate out Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. I wasn't at my level 3 years ago, and hopefully I won't still be at this level in 3 years time! Don't get disheartened mate, each climb will add to your experience and confidence. You shoulda seen me when I was first sent up, it was painful! A few years on I can tackle most stuff at a reasonable speed, I ain't fast, nor really slow. I'm always up for a climb if you fancy it mate? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. Aah, I'm not told what we get booked in. Want me to slow down? In fairness if we chuck a four man crew on it I can see how it's be tough to be competitive. Small crews or sole traders can beat bigger firms on certain stuff, whereas the bigger crews can be better set up for bigger jobs. For what it's worth I can see how it could be frustrating. 21. Who was it mate? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. I buy the Stihl 100ml shots. Easy, no mess, £1 each. Pour it in, then leave the bottle upside down in the spout of the can for a few moments to make sure you get it all. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. There is also an updated flywheel/ignition you can buy which is supposed to be good. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. Before you go spending out, drill a hole in the exhaust of the 201t, around 12mm. Makes a good difference. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. Jesus, like I don't have enough elbow problems! I'll give it a go soon. Anyone know of any lifts that can prevent elbow joint issues? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
