  1. This thread is a good argument for the need for trailer training.
  2. Who's decision was it to try and fell out that way?
  3. Technically the first P in PPE is Personal. I'm very selective about who i let use my kit. Firstly I have to know they're competent and responsible. Secondly I have to know they can afford to replace whatever I lend them.
  4. Through luck, IMO. That goal in the 91st minute was pure chance and it saved us. We had fresh subs ready and Southgate left it way too late.
  5. As was I, which i thought was obvious enough in my post. Weigh up in your mind how you might feel about reading about that tree on the news where someone had been injured or worse.
  6. Balls to the customer. If he's more concerned about his hedges than the safety of others, I'd say you have a higher obligation to the general public.
  7. Call him an alchy, John.
  8. Hardly an exclusive accolade. Requirements: politely disagree. Result: thinly veiled empty threats.
  9. Don't keep me in suspense Eggs, what's going to happen "one day"?
  10. No thanks, I'm not in here getting triggered every time somebody disagrees with me. You sound very angry at the world Eggs. I think you'd benefit from talking to a counsellor.
  11. Perhaps some time away from the forum would be good for you if you don't like what you're hearing?
  12. Or he could look at the positive. That sign deters 99% of the "do as you're told" visitors from overstaying. Leaving the car park free of abandoned cars and regular users, meaning it's usually empty in the evenings for people who understand their rights. I repeat my caveat re: additional signage potentially making their terms enforceable.
  13. Were there any other signs illustrating terms and conditions? If not its a polite request to pay and nothing more. Utterly unenforceable and the RSPB are unable to obtain your information from the DVLA. Park there and be smug, not outraged.
  14. Stop it, you're making me blush
  15. Mick has a good point. Unless there were guarantees made you're going to struggle. Not saying it's not possible, but it depends how much time/ money your willing to risk. You could easily spend more than you hope to recoup before you even get to a court claim.
  16. If its a public highway then park there. You're getting very upset about a sign. I'd advise you know your rights and not just what you've heard from a mate down the local though. You've been around the internet long enough. Seems like it's not just the younger generation seeking any cause to get offended.
  17. Agreed. Hate the bloke. Makes a mean mutton stew though. I think we've found arbtalk's newest moderator 👍
  18. Sounds a bit gay, bro
  19. That's not very kind. Is everything okay?
  20. Rightly or wrongly, if you were to park and not pay any parking charges would be unenforceable unless there are other signs with more detail.
  21. No you weren't, you were trying to get your hands on a bargain under the guise of doing someone a favour. How very charitable.
