  1. Love the pooping dog stencil thing, and also yours is a most inspiring thread. I've been following it since the first few pages. Did you really take stem in your first few shots down with a small silky? And ring it up? Where did the roots and butt go? I'm totally not criticising, I'd just like to know... My Mum makes a point of going to Kew in each season, I once was involved in a program of ivy removal on the perimeter wall, over 20 years ago now though... Fair play to you mate, and your bench looks like it's going to be amazing!
  2. Deliverance (My all time favourite) Dead Mans Shoes The Football Factory Animal Factory Tideland Trainspotting Bug Bartleby (I would prefer not to, classic!) Fargo Oh Brother Where Art Thou? The Big Liebowski Brazil The Life Of Brian Apocalypse Now Tsotsi Don't Look Now Fight Club American History X Jaws Paris, Texas Amelie Spun One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest Nikita (The subtitled original one) Battle Royale Pulp Fiction Kill Bill both This is England Spinal Tap I could go on and on. Watched Life of Pi in 3d last night and really enjoyed it, and no, I haven't read the book, my other half has and she also enjoyed it.
  3. Mate. I've never met anyone who has seen Tideland that I didn't force to watch it! Mitch Cullin who wrote the book is a friend of mine, Tery Gilliam directs fantastic films... My top ten to follow, Dead Mans Shoes will be in it too
  4. Nice site, loaded nice and fast for me but I have to say I'm with some of the other lads on the who, where etc. If people don't recognise the STD code they may have no idea where you are. I had to squint at the address on the pic of your business card to establish that you're in the next county to me... Other than that, really nice job on the site and your business! All the best.
  5. Yay, I won a ratchet. Thanks to Steve for organising this with all the work that entails, and to Dean Lofthouse for donating the prize.
  6. Great video. The bench is a thing of beauty, love it...
  7. Just put in for a tenners worth. If I win something that's not any use to me I'll re donate it...
  8. I once did a thinning job on the Hog's Back just outside Guildford. It was below a layby with a toilet block known as a gay meeting spot. Every morning we'd have to rake over the embers to get the fires going again then rake loads of tissues, condoms and even boxer shorts onto the fires. Nice...
  9. I'm watching it right now, and finding it fascinating. I shan't be running for the hills or radically changing my habits though.
  10. I've tried, vimeo is always choppy and barely watchable on my (Fast, fibre optic) Connection. I was responding to Worcs wuss's post rather than the video...
  11. Personally, for what it's worth I admire many of the disparate opinions put forward on this site. I admire Andy for his battle against illness and Tony for his knowledge and passion. When people have a passion and the intelligence to back it up, things can quickly become emotive. I'm not a star struck kid, I'm almost 46 you know. When I was a kid it were all woods round here... Oh, and benefits for people that need them are fine with me, I used unemployment benifit myself once when I moved 120 miles from the place I'd always known. Two weeks I think I was on the dole... Yes the daily mail etc stoke the fires of anger against immigrant claimants etc and yes there are worse in the ranks of the opera lovers but this points to one thing as far as I can ascertain- This country is on it's knees, and when you're that age it's hard to drag yourself back up again...
  12. Ah, bent regimes often supported, nay sponsored by the west. Also, there's a very good chance they wouldn't need so much help if those countries hadn't been pillaged for all of their valuable mineral resources back in the days of Empire... I also am not a big fan of supermarkets yet have little choice as local produce is so often dressed up in hyper expensive chic. I live very close to Jimmy's Farm for instance, Around a quid per rasher? I for one need a very special occasion to justify that, delicious though it is. As for GM, surely it's just selective breeding? Ever heard of the Texas strain ofheat? That's an interesting story. Most weed or tobacco smokers would be lost without a bit of the old GM, Skunk #1 anyone?
  13. The usual beers and wine and cash tips, plus a large dying cactus in a really nice large terra cotta pot
  14. Nice shot too Indeed. Not my shot, got it from wildaboutbritain.co.uk
  15. I'm with sloth, absolutely 100% not liberty caps
  16. Bearded Munch, the saddles are fitted wrong in your pic of the failed tree mate-"Never saddle a dead horse"
  17. Love the carving, I agree that Fallen Angel suits it beautifully
  18. I missed the first episode. Seems the whole build is on some sort of flat bed? Liked the glass making/window, although one piece seemed to be one of those melted wine bottle bottoms, almost perfectly clear, not sure that was part of that batch. Rabbit glue was obviously brilliant! That peugeot pick up, the front of it reminded me of my childhood next door plumbers Simca? Not a petrol head so can't be bothered to look... Can't see it getting on and off that site though... The safe, all good telly with the thermic lance and stuff, but the holes for ventilation and fitting of the brand plates must've been simple enough, nice clean holes... Right, better go and do something more productive!
  19. I was wondering exactly that. Looks a tad painful anyway. Been bitten by a dead euc twig myself, like fat thorns!
  20. Ta, I just laughed coffee all over my keyboard, through my nose! I would also like an answer to the original question for my own lawn, several trees, none of which I wish to see harmed...
  21. Mr Kidd? Westcott salutes you if so. Not your spelling though...
  22. I've been reading this with interest, just messaged a mate who is also in tv and has worked on kill it cook it eat it, Jimmys farm and other similar shows. If it comes to anything, mine's apint of blonde humulus lupus flavour lovliness...
