  1. Home | OTISSOTISS works well if you can alter a .dxf.
  2. Either request it from the client, which usually gets a positive response. Or open an account with one on the online OS Mastermap suppliers. A domestic plot size tile is sub £20.00.
  3. Tomatin, Tormore, Brackla... Helps when you live in The Highlands though!
  4. The only good thing about a Defender is the high residual values. Service intervals are to low, cost to much to buy, 21mpg (really? in 2012), rusty head lamps, leaky roof, leaky doors, candle head lights etc. I have a 2010 DC, bought 18 months ago with 9k on the clock, now over 49k. Costs 41.6p per mile to run with finance, tyres, add ons, servicing, fuel etc. I love it, I find it comfortable and its a great compromise vehicle. My head however says run a Ranger and change it every two years. Good luck with your search!
  5. That's just not accurate I'm afraid. And it hasn't been for some years. Checkt the small print. On everything. Everywhere!
  6. You don't use it for personal use though do you *whistle* Never found this to be an issue personally.
  7. Thats not really accurate anymore... Any LTD companies borrowing is underwritten by the Directors... you can not just borrow money as a LTD company and spend spend spend. If it goes tits up and they can prove you as the director knew it was on the way out (which of course you did as a small co.) then the creditors can still pursue you as an individual. Going LTD depends on your clients IMO. The main advantages are you can pay yourself PAYE from Day 1 so you are an employee and have all the payslips etc. / advantages that go with that. Makes life a lot easier for mortgages etc. Get some professional (un-biased) advice.
  8. As an SME they don't necessarily, they can only see short accounts.
  9. I have a Yeti as the wife's main car. Live in The Highlands, she drives to work in the snow everyday for the last month or so. Great cars. I'd trade my Defender for one tomorrow if I could afford to.
  10. Do you mean 'whips'? They are all much for muchness. A Google search should through up a few suppliers near to you. Prices vary between 0.28p and 1.50 depending on what your after. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  11. What if LOSC are in for cumulative days on one site but aren't under direct control of you day in day out? You only give them instruction as and when necessary.
  12. Yes, it's useful as a consultant on the periodicals are informative.
  13. It seemed pretty accurate over the last few days checking against the maps I had with me. The heights are as good as my best estimates ;-)
  14. That's an arse Ben! For those of the iPhone Apple persuasion there is an app called 'TheodolitePro' which has worked well for me this week.
  15. Doug, I'm in Nairn and I think I have a spare copy knocking about. Will take a look when I get back next week. PM me for details.
  16. Has anybody used this for measuring outside and getting tree heights? What is your opinion? Please stay off the clinometer debate as this is not what I require. Many Thanks
  17. Absolutely the right answer, check it out with GLA yourself else you could find yourself in a whole heap of trouble.
  18. A roof mount is the most versatile but you will need a PTO pump for the crane as it'll run so slow otherwise. Slow but usable. As with most things in arb, it's trying to find the best compromise!
  19. Mulch it no question, if the mulched waste is a problem then rip it out and mulch at one sport on the site, either way its only 2 days work for a 360 with a decent head.
  20. Can someone please explain why it is to close to the house? Seems a silly assumption to make based on those photograph / perspective?
  21. Even with a map the client still often needs to confirm locations on the ground. Particularly when instructing contractors. HoneyBrothers or Richmonds for,Arbo Tags are the best.
  22. Yes do e it with wind blow several times, glad it worked out for you. Stay safe mate!
