  1. I have worked with Scott on and off for a number of years and can confirm this is a fantastic opportunity for somebody!
  2. *sigh* all so very very true.
  3. I use word a lot for compiling reports, if i need to put pictures in i will use Pages as it is a far better programme. I have one document that I have edited numerous times (a RAMS), and it splits the last few pages out of that document. All other documents have been fine. Having said that, everything is exported to clients as PDF's. Pages is probably the way to go after checking all software is up to date.

Ha ha, got a link? I think I know who's that is! Mechanically its sound but it needs a tidy.
  5. As per the thread title. We need one ASAP, 12T, Botex would be preferred due to some modifications required. No crane needed. Any leads would be gratefully received!
  6. I don't think anyone is hiding, just quietly getting on with re-building their life.
  7. Sorry mate, I know. That was my point lol
  8. Theres a big difference between the sort of biomass the big power stations can take and the smaller installations. Chip for the smaller plants is produced through chipping dry round wood to order, a higher value product. Theres is a huge hole to fill if even 10% of the proposed plants come online, there will not be enough chip in the UK. Security and frequency of supply is sourced from overseas supply. Not right, but there you go. Where does our coal come from?
  9. I admire your tenacity. Particularly in that weather!
  10. So how do you find driving everywhere at 28mph then? Surely it depends what YOU use it for as to whether it should be registered as Ag and Forestry, not the previous owner. Be careful you don't get caught out!
  11. That's an incinerator I think.
  12. There are plenty of biomass fuelled power stations across the UK. Slough was just one of the first. The excess will easily get absorbed elsewhere as new plants are opening all the time. Most from Slough will go to S Wales. Folks will just get less per tonne for their waste chip.
  13. Aye, dug out the neighbours car for them yesterday. We are a bit higher up with a private lane and are proper stuffed the now.
  14. All good, walking to the shops.
  15. 3 Days snowed in now!
  16. With a harvesting head on the end of it!
  17. As per the title. Looking to do a root investigation of the extent of the root crown of a mature oak adjacent to a extension proposal. Please PM. Many Thanks
  18. Fantastic stuff dry. I use it as kindling.
  19. Fastracs are ok for arb work, mainly road based with a tractor. Rubbish in the woods due to expensive plastics and un-protected belly. Rubbish as ag tractors as the gearboxes are weak and they are choppy. Like everything in this game, its a compromise.
  20. Aye! :-)
  21. I agree with the other parts of your post. Just not this bit
  22. Thats is a a very sweeping statement... we do not know this persons circumstance. Anyone of us could fall out of tree tomorrow or have a car crash and end up in a terrible situation. Like others have said, get your friend to take advice from experts.
