  1. What he said...^^^
  2. IMO cats usually come down on there own in the end... Look at this from a different angle, write a blog post, get it online and send it to all the local papers for a bit of free advertising. Then let sleeping dogs (or cats!) lye, after all you did a good thing and that should be reward enough.
  3. Brilliance, I would not want to pay for all that rigging kit mind!
  4. I can appreciate the skill but 3D leaves me cold, much prefer a nice turbine scale model
  5. I very nearly bought one a few years ago, strong and reliable.
  6. Try PM'ing Highland Forestry on here, Matt? He does surveying etc I think.
  7. The total garage off the A483 in Wrexham has banned the use of cans temporarily, absolute friggin joke!
  8. I find ALOT depends on whether you go through a local office with a phoneable representative OR The Direct service. The local offices are very good and will mostly go out of there way to help you should the brown stuff hit the whirly thing.
  9. Manage it using shade and at the same time create woodland management work for the foreseeable future
  10. That is a bloody great idea!
  11. I'll come and do 298.00 worth of work for you and we'll see what you get...
  12. Gees, what luck, get well soon!
  13. Depreciation is the major factor for me, Jap stuff plummets.
  14. I know I could probably find the answer online somewhere But... The battery is shot on our tipping trailer, anyone know what size they are? standard leisure battery for instance? Do they charge off the standard vehicle socket or be charged after a number of tips etc. Cheers in advance...
  15. Sub IRS any good?
  16. That looks incredibly smart, the base colour is so much better than the standard White.
  17. I think that is a CSF not an Avant, they are great machines as are all articulated loaders. Most have a takeoff to run an external hydraulic implement such as your splitter. In the woods though you would be better of with a tracked machine. Chipper feeding is only really possible with a 360 fitted with a grab and rotator.
  18. Fantastic, well done for making the leap :-)
  19. Looks fun, is retrieving the winch wire an arse?

I was the same tbh. But it is fantastic, take today for example; I have a client questioning us picking up some trees on a BS as groups rather than individuals, I am on the road all day but have put the report, tables, and plan on the iPad so I can refer to it when I speak to them on the phone later. It is also great for presentations.

Yes, without GLONASS its even worse... parkland environments are fine but as soon as you get into thicker tree cover its a PITA. You have to go out into the open to get a signal and then back under the canopy cover. Still way better than anything else on the market though!

Not in Wales it doesn't Paul! Agreed on the motion tablet though.
  25. Your kidding right? The corner of the scaffold is less than 2m from the LV. A 6' bloke in the corner of the scaffold could head butt the LV. I took this out of a moving vehicle so the perspective is screwed I guess.
