  1. Hi, I'm in need of an adjustable oiler as well as a few other bits and pieces, if anyone has any part saws collecting dust please get in touch. Thanks, Si
  2. I'm far too lazy to read the whole of this thread right now, sorry, but piss helps to create a verdigris patina on bronze. I have made a few bronze sculptures in the dim and distant past and following the uni technicians advice I found that it worked incredibly well Two to three week old pee doesn't half reek though.
  3. Hi Russell, You should contact liberon customer services mate, send pics to their tech's for further advice.
  4. I did have it, now I can't find the damn thing on my pc. Can somebody please put a link up to get the pdf? many thanks, Si
  5. Nice idea Tom, liking the facebook tab:001_smile:
  6. Thanks guys, I reckon I'll be making a few more friends for this one. Yes the sandoflex is a bit pricey (like most cool stuff)but is a useful bit of kit for gentle sanding of detail. Gustharts on here sell them.
  7. Saw only with blowtorched and sandoflexed finish.
  8. Looks great Dave, good to hear you're getting paid too:001_smile:
  9. That's a good start, and good advice to follow up on. I really like your log vice in the first pic too!
  10. Have you had a nuisance complaint from a neighbour then? You could try asking local paper to help you find a yard to work from maybe, or ask around yourself, tree surgeons, farmers etc.
  11. Damn yeh! wonder how big a log that would cut?
  12. I'm left handed for writing, drawing and painting and I'm left footed but everything else I do is right handed. The current medical terminology is right or left dominant, I'm right dominant apparently.
  13. LOL As said it'd be ideal for big scale timbers. Looking forward to delabodges variation, I'm wanting something similar that will cut discs off logs accurately.
  14. If you do, can I have a copy of your plans please:sneaky2:
  15. Honeymonster, this is what you need bud, http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/71582-i-want-one.html
  16. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUcCsgZXjI4]Lignatool Schnittführung für Kettensägen.mp4 - YouTube[/ame] BENDIG - Vertrieb und Marketing - Schwalbenschwanz Holzverbindung, Schnittführung Kettensäge, Loch und Zapfen, Lignatool
  17. What about one of the fixed crosscut sawhorses? I've been looking at them for cutting small to medium thin discs accurately. Has anyone used any of these? There's quite a range of prices, the stihl one Stihl cross cutting sawhorse | F R Jones and Son and the portek http://http://www.frjonesandson.co.uk/products-page/forestry-equipment/sawhorses/portek-logmaster-sawhorse/ are the dearest but I guess they are more robust than the cheaper ones.
  18. Hey rob, I'm getting paid this week mate, how many of these bars have you got left? I'll be getting a toonie too if in stock.
  19. He's cool Tom, Liking your new philosophy too. Always more fulfilling doing jobs that excite you.
  20. Lovely job Phil, and thanks for the nod mate :001_smile:g
  21. Great video Barry, interesting seeing what it's like that far up! Shame they didn't want a giant chicken carved though
  22. Get yourself a moisture meter mate, in door furniture needs to come down to around 8 to 12% mc I think. If only just cut the boards could be in high 20's% or above.
  23. Not tried echo but if you go with that take a look at the 360wes, bit heavier than the 270/280 but more oomph! You don't need bags of power but the bigger saw will help you carve quicker. The 1/4 sprockets for 270 are hard to get. My detail saw is a 200 but I also carve with some 026's, they are pretty quick!
  24. Cheers guys Well Dave, a giant red squirrel money box and more masseev asparagus. Going to practice some ideas I'm working on just incase I get into any more com:sneaky2:ps.
