  1. I'd swing in past your local rigging and lifting hire/repair shop and have a chat and they should be able to answer all your questions and might even cut a deal on spares ect
  2. Hi Tom I could possibly lend a hand if you get stuck as my dad lives in doune so it's close by. I've only got my cs30/31 but all my own gear and motor and insurance ect
  3. I advertise in in local magazines and they work well for what it costs also have a website and have just made up a Facebook page so will see how that works. I think you can have all the fancy advertising you like but it's important to be honest and turn up tidy when you meet customers as you never get a second chance to make a first impression
  4. Just ordered a jacket and some file handles. They look good should be fine and warm this winter now hopefully
  5. Best bet would be to phone a tarp/sail maker and see what they recommend. Wouldn't use sticks like as it sets hard but could use contact adhesive
  6. I thought this would be a good gig for the lad who is always looking for work near you. Can't remember his name now
  7. Looks good mate. If your stuck for a hand or need any advice drop us a pm as I'm a time served joiner in a past life
  8. I have a 261 and it has had it's problems but it's been worked harder than it should and ran an 18 inch bar sometimes but it's served me well. It has struggled sometimes but that's because I've been using it on big heavy stuff when I should have got a bigger saw out. To sum it up it's been a good saw and earnt it's money
  9. I'm going for the 560xpg only cause I got one today. I can see the heated handles coming in to there own on the lovely Scottish winters that we get. It's on an 18inch bar running 3/8ths so the same as my 390xp so if I lose a few teeth I can get the loop cut down for the 560
  10. I'm liking this one just now [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvCBSSwgtg4&feature=youtube_gdata_player]The Lumineers - Ho Hey (Official Video) - YouTube[/ame]
  11. Managed to find a nice brittish made plough at a reasonable price but now I'm looking for some chains. So does anyone know of any sites to have a look at as I've been quoted 100 notes for a set
  12. Good point so just a case of little pass's and short runs to save stressing out the machine. Nice to know it works tho
  13. Nice set up mate I've not got anything as tidy as that. Not sure on areas yet as just looking into things at the moment. Think the ride on I've got is just rear wheel drive so I thought the chains would help get more traction
  14. Hi Got myself a ride on this season so to save it sitting around over winter I'm thinking of getting a snow plough for it and some tyre chains. Do any of you guys have a similar set up? If so any feed back on them. I think the ride on has enough power as it's a 22hp machine. Look forward to the replys and help
  15. All the click icon things are blue boxes with a White ? I'm on the iPad if that makes any difference also tried turning it off and back on
  16. Will have a look at that as I've got family in north Wales so could be handy
  17. That's a bugger as it's a great saving on them:thumbdown: pity they never do anything like that up here
  18. Cheers for the info rovers il get onto them and ask about it and see what they say. Fingers crossed it's open to us outsiders:thumbup:
  19. That's a good find:thumbup1: got me thinking about going on one of there course now. Any idea if there is accommodation close by at a decent price? As would need to stay over for the week
  20. Think I pay £36 a month for my lock up but looking for somewhere bigger now so guess the cost will be going up
  21. A drill will just turn the screw to either go in or out but the impact driver kind of hammers the screw in at the same time. If you can imadgen it like trying to drill concrete with a normal drill it's slow and hard work but if you switch it to hammer it's a lot easier. Hope this makes some sense lol
  22. I use the makita 18v lion impact driver and it's the dogs danglies well worth the money and you can use the batteries in there other tools. Best bit is the batteries charge in 20 mins
  23. Nice one Sam. It's a Great feeling my little one is 8 weeks this weekend
