  3. I think that is fair. 120 green 200 seasoned
  4. It is around 3/4 cube depending on thickness. but it is also only 1.4m long. Not big enough for most projects that you would want 1m width. Id value it at £200 seasoned max. Nobody wants syc and it's not a practical shape.

  7. If you are building it in as a beam/lintel then I wouldn't be as worried. Just a bit of filling to do once it has shrunk. Mantles are usually fixed to brickwork or plaster and can cause alot of damage to plastering as they dry and twist. And can seriously crack at the end. Seems like you got lucky with yours. If you can sell it green at that money why not, as long as the customer knows what they are buying. I always dream about having a big pile of seasoned oak to sell at high prices but I can't keep hold of it long enough How did you fix the mantle above the esse, looks built in? Would be interested to see a picture of it now. How longs it been in?

  10. Bit too far to come here and make your own. Could knock you one up but postage may be expensive as it will be heavy
  11. Pretty easy to make from scrap if you can weld. Where are you based?
  12. Always worth doing a tea spoon of fuel into cylinder to. If it doesn't fire on that then I assume either no spark or no compression.
  13. My first thing everytime would g be to change the plug for a new one, just because it's sparking out of the cylinder doesnt mean its sparking in the cylinder

  16. It's not oak. Possibly elm. Timber looks like field maple to me though

  18. It's a sign of the times. The last van I bought was a similar looking transit but a year younger at the time. Very tidy. Highway maintenance van so hydroststic eberspacher etc included. 30k miles £7500 no vat. That's older and double. That's why I ended up with the older high mileage mentioned above. Would rather take the odd day off work to fix it or even fit a recon engine than pay out that much for a camper base
  19. Needs to take 4 of us to europe this August before my daughter goes off to uni. Then I might get something smaller again. I do like the space inside though so we will see. It's massive and beautifully sauare inside! Going to spray the whole thing in raptor paint I think so it looks a little less removals.

  22. This is the reason I bought a old master low loader box van with a knackered turbo and fixed it. Was looking for ages for a van to convert and that was the first one I could justify the price of Slight risk but it paid off
