my old boss had a couple of wolsey jungle busters with chains would leave a rough finish but would go through any thing if tractor would push it over would of thought they are the same, remember in a wood one day hand cutting around young trees when a lump of cord wood fly through air and hit a older standing tree about 10ft up knocking a large lump of bark off.

Someone i know has on to run a crane on ifor williams trailer he used a pump and tank off a old cherry picker and connected it to landy pto. Landy 130 had a Tmax then a Winchmax one hell of a winch for the price, what ever you fit get a remote fit but if pull tree use lead as most remotes switch off after a time if not used had it happen once good job person sitting in landy knew what to do.

You could try greasing all pivot points, cheapest thing to do first. Also check ram is not catching body above pivot do to wear in pin.

My old boss bought a Allen scythe with 2stroke engine he mix modern engine oil with petrol and that thing was a bas...d to start and keep running, I got fed up with it and ran it on chainsaw mix 50/1 thing ran a treat and kept running it on that all the time.

The farm near me had a IH 258 that was one fast tractor. Remember carting hay one year got to field and loaded before other tractor and trailer turned up.

Post and rail looks lovely. Posts and high tensile plain wire with one electric wire at top to stop ass rubbing on posts, then if you need to divide field up easy with tape or rope and plastic posts.

Replacing the odd fence posts on a post and rail fence I put up 10 years ago. Had a job getting solid bits of post out of bottom of hole so welded a large coach screw to a bit of rod with eye at top drove it through rot and into solid wood them screwed it in and pulled it out with loader.
