  1. Extremely short notice but is there a climber available in the Plymouth area tomorrow. 12/1/24 Our normal climber hurt their back on seprate job today and is out of action. Can not rebook for a separate day 😩 Is an Ash dismantle on a private garden with large drop zone below.
  2. Hi All thanks for the comments a couple of you have said it is electrical issue and think you may be right. she does rev right up but that isn’t being transferred to the roller feeder. there is no orange light on the circuit board when she running flat out… there was water in the switch board as we undone the bottom ducting/ wire protection pipe water was coming out at the bottom of the casing. looks like some wires have also been cut previously to the mother board. have posted some images below. Lose wires towards the motherboard
  3. Hi All, picked up my first chipper yesterday evening. Travelled about hour and half to pick it up in the evening from a fairly big forestry contractor. Before we got there he did say everything was working but hadn’t been used in about two years and been stored in the work shop. She started up fine but the feed roller’s were turning very slowly and didn’t even want to chip small twigs with out jamming. He knocked some money off for us and off we went. Had a spare morning so got her opened up in some better light so see what was going on. She seem to moving better in reverse but still jamming with the smallest of brash, seems to be enough hydrologic oil but almost like shaft is struggling. any one else had a similar issue with this model of chipper that I can sort or can recommended any one in the North Cornwall area to look at it. have attached couple videos IMG_5302.mov IMG_5308.mov IMG_5305.mov

    Husky 346xp

Hi chaps looking at the piston/cylinder kits to buy new... there was a thread on here a while ago regarding which size to buy depending on the age of the saw and what cc it is. Pretty sure it’s an 02 model with 42mm size piston.. Has any one got the link to the thread or a link to the actual website to buy

    Husky 346xp

Hi chaps recently picked up a free 346xp as always wanted one and new it needed abit of work.. it came with no muffler and the chap said work fine before just didn’t get round to fitting a new one ? So new muffler fitted, starts fine but whines abit when pulling the cord... reved up lovely but would keep reving once finger is off the accelerator then slow down and cut out.... just like this link https://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/husqvarna-346xp-ne-not-running.223501/ would it be an air leak causing this? also seems to be a lot a bar oil leaking from behind the clutch plate... (picture shows how much oil from just from taking the bar off) could this be causing air leak some where down the line. Have attached some pictures of the piston etc etc as think could do with being replaced. Any info from people who had similar issues would be great.
  7. Hi All this is my first post on here but been looking on the site for years. Myself and good friend started a small business last year focusing on landscaping, fencing, estate management and doing what tree work we can. We were looking into more logging/ felling commercial woodland and if any free lance work available. Both have cs30/31 held for couple years (happy to work up to cs32 if needed to for extra work) first aid, insured and registered as self employed. We both come from agriculture/estate management backgrounds and not afraid of work and really keen. Studied estate and woodland management at college and uni.We are based on Cornwall and Devon boarder but happy to travel including Wale’s and Scotland both mid to late 20’s and have worked away from home before. Just wondering if any body knows of anything, anyone or websites that would be of any help. Any information would be greatly received.
