  1. Being in drivers seat is the worst place if large stuff is being cut.
  2. Got back to this beech hedge today to finish had not been cut last year.
  3. What about if you just point out the dangers of a tree you are looking at, rot, dead limbs, splits,
  4. Why struggle with a 880 or 3120 with a 3ft bar when you can just use a smaller saw with a 20inch bar and just run round, a lot better to handle.
  5. Lovely stretch of river from Flatford up to Stratford st Mary work on it three years ago pollarding willows.
  6. Old estate railings post more like with that rail hole punch in it.
  7. Saw one for sale about a year ago, large brash grab on front and the back arm had be shortened and a set of tongs fitted look a hell of a tool for small extraction jobs.

  10. Looks the same as some 11mm Malow I have apart from mine has black thread running through it. Or afrayed knot.
  11. Speed increase ? Followed a Large Fendt corn carting last week it was hitting 40 mph on narrow roads and carried on straight through a 30 mph limit without slowing up. Driver was not a youngster.

Driving back from a job the other day with a load of timber with tractor bus was following me so indicated when the road was wide enough and no oncoming traffic:thumbup: it went passed and then indicated and pulled in right infront of me to let a passenger off only just managed to stop intime.
  13. Quotes ? When quoting how are you quoting along side someone how wants the job because there short of work and want to get there name or work seen in a area or someone how has plenty of work and over pricing not to get it, how do you know?. I did some work 3 years ago now for a council have found out recently I was £2000 cheaper than the next quote and £ 4000 cheap then the dearest and I made a good profit on that job. So Quotes how knows.
  14. Just think about clearing up, could take days if you get loss a few times.
  15. Got the use of one when I need it. But tractor puts big dents in lawn.
  16. Exactly what will they cut all day long. As aways Can you take more off. And when you do it with loppers they turn round and say, My gardener could have done that thought you where just going to put a chain thingy though it.
  17. Did some laurels last week which need lowering and used brush cutter did a good job but not easy or safe.
  18. Have done that in the past then 3-4 jobs on gear box or cutters go bang
  19. Getting a lot of jobs book in to cut hedges that have been left a couple of years and more, growth is to small to cut with chain saw with out having chain being flipped off and to thick for hedge cutter, so looking for a big cutter hedge cutter or anyone got any ideas:confused1:
