1. Bump! Any update Roni ??
2. 24 PAIRS OF NEW NITRILE COATED WORK GLOVES CONSTRUCTION GARDARDENING Bought from this seller about 5 times now. 3-4 days delivery. They work for me. Cheap and cheerful. They are thin, so no use for dragging anything thorny!!!
3. Bought the 550XPG version as a backup to my 346xp. Starting is occasionally a pain, but pick it up before the 346 almost every day. On a 13" bar its a wee animal. On a 15" it's sound. Had a brake-band go recently. Known fault and husky now have a new brake-band out for it. Its well balanced and a cracker for snedding. Used it with both 13 and 15 on logs all day. I would buy another one tomorrow (but I've just bought more shiny and the wife would kill me) Oh yeh, and because its not Stihl, you can buy it online.
4. 2 dozen pairs of thin coated gloves for 13,50 off eBay. Much like the thin Pfanner ones, but at a price you can throw away after an hour or a day or two. Suffer from eczema and very dry hands, so it really aids grip. A pain though when they get caught up in krabs etc.
5. That's the thing about an open forum, that this kind of question can be raised. I dislike giving quotes there and then, preferring to go away, have a bit of a quiet think, before emailing or posting a written quote. Saves getting bitten when the job actually turns out more complicated. We've probably all been there.
6. Do you include a charge for LPA checks, Jesse?
7. More photos of the Pfanner stand required.
8. Booked a shutdown today from SSE. No mention of cost at all. I think the idea is that if they charged we'd all have a go "live" to save money and risk our necks into the bargain.
9. Got it. Thanks Yvonne. Power Rangers are go! on Monday morning :-)

Fir, root-fail

Great photos and great explanation, Reg. Keep 'em coming.
11. Clarks Supertack Bio works a treat. No issues and flows well even when the temp is in minus figures. Plus it's a selling point to customers who have burns or streams or ponds in their grounds.
12. BT Openzone does work, used it a couple of times - but not when at work. But if you look at Moray, most of our customers get download speeds of 500k per week, so its a bit pointless. Elgin has a bit of 3G 4G EE - you've got to be kidding!
13. Yup. Think I might need counselling!

Hi mate,

Down in Nethybridge in the morning, stump grinding. Think it might have been one you took down. Meant to pass you my mobile number 07775 858 370.

15. If husky followed suit I wonder if it would be considered "price fixing".
16. After trying on the Forest, I've definitely put the Arborist high on my list of wants. Not going to the show :-( but will order one afterwards. Put a red and grey one aside for me Yve, please.
17. That's really disappointing. Was using it last two days taking limbs off sycamore up to bar length.(10") Cutting fine throughout.

Saw choice

Had my 576xp for 18 months now and it's been reliable throughout. Love it as my intermediate saw. Lives with an 18" bar day to day, but has a 26" bar for bigger rings/fells. Felled and ringed up 3ft+ elm last two weeks and it chogged through it quite happily. Pretty good as far as vibes are concerned. No issues after a day ringing up. It's pretty close to the 372 though, so price I think is in the 372's favour.
19. That took a lot of effort. I had to sit down after all that exercise.
20. How about a 70's 4-position lunge. Kecks courtesy of Pfanner Arborist.
21. Sending mine back. The big question is - spend the money straight away on new shiney from Justin, or bank the cash and wait for Zigzag2 ?
22. The T536 is good for takedowns Eddy, up to the point where a petrol saw becomes obvious. For me so far, that's where I swap to my 346 or use the 020/201 for a bit. You could argue that why not start with a 201 etc and stick with it for further down the tree. But what the 536 does is give you a good period of pleasant, semi-peaceful working before its time to roll out the noise. It'll get a good load of branch wood out, when the cuts are spaced out time-wise by you moving around the tree and the saw isn't expected to go balls out repeatedly chogging. It's early days yet though, so time will tell whether its robust enough to last as long as the other top handles.
23. I guess Eddie was up in Forres, as the dealer there has a new promo stand. Just waiting for them to restock though. Do like using it in my blowers and strimmer/brush cutter
24. It definitely has limits when it comes to balls out use. I certainly like the ease of refuelling it when up the tree. :-) and it's a pleasant saw to use. But there's a definite moment when you realise it's time to go petrol and your fairly peaceful climb is at an end. Let us know what the problem turns out to be, Roni.
