  2. As I'm a tight bugger I bought some cheap polo shirts in a sale and some thirst print paper from staples and did it myself
  3. I don't know about anyone else ,but I'd have to be in desperate need to work for either company,from what I've heard and seen money is poor,work is naff and for don't get decent kit .
  4. Very capable saw,I don't own one but have used a friends several times,and I'm currently saving to get one ,there the dogs dangles! Plus I found somewhere selling them £540 inc tax
  5. Probably a good idea ,the bloke who mentioned that burnt trees blunten chains had read something about it when reading into forest fire felling,maybe google might help you further on the subject
  6. I heard the other week that burnt trees blunten saws really quickly,the cutter edge gets dulled by the ash or something

I'm a subby climber and groundsman ,and being a subby sometime I get the awkward jobs employees don't want,wether its a branch needing reducing over a greenhouse,or a big of a drag through kitchens or ornamental flower border.in the end ,accidents can and sometimes do happen ,but I always own up at the earliest opportunity . If I say broke a slat on a fence like I did the other day,I offered to repair the fence with a new slat in my own time at my cost ,or if i cracked a pot i would inform all parties and go from there .i think this is fair to the whoever employs me .its just good manors really,and builds trust and respect Mutually.   12. i always thought it was the stated gross weight of the trailer,say a trailer can weigh max 1.5 tonne,even if it didnt weigh more than 750kg unladen/part laden you shouldnt be towing it .im 95% sure thats what my trailer test instructor said to me . steve

  15. Hi rob,I've looked I your site for a new bar,but as I'm new to buying chainsaw parts I have a query. I want to order the "Oregon power match 24".375 .058 84 drive link " ,but what does the "375" stand for ? I'm after a 3/8th chain,is this the correct Bar I need? Also,I looked for a new rim sprocket,do you have these in stock?your site didn't show anything avaialible . Cheers,Steve

  17. I had one as a courtesy car ,nice car,but poor on fuel,well the auto was,got 21mpg driving it very very nicely!

  19. evening all ,i've done some searching of the internet without much joy ,so hopefully you guys will be of some assistance .the nose sprocket on my husqvarna 576 is a bit buggered so needs replacing ,but i cant find anywhere online that sell them in the uk,anyone know of anywhere? also cant find much in the way of literature/videos on actually replacing the nose,i've tried google and youtube,maybe the titles in swedish or something lol any help appreciated,cheers ,steve

I used a husky 395 the other week ringing up a big chestnut,cut really well with a 28" bar.then I changed to a stihl 660 as the chain snapped on the husky,the stihl had a 30 " bar on .from using these two saw within minutes of eacother,if I ws going to splash the cash,I'd have the husqvarna 395 any day for big timber ! Cut a lot quicker ,felt smoother and didnt get "bogged down" when digging the dogs teeth in . Steve

  24. I thought most Subbys are normally on a day rate? Maybe it's regional perhaps ? When I climb it's £125 and on the ground £100, that's me fully clad with my own p.p.e ,my full climbing kit,chainsaws and for me to meet on site .
