  1. i am jellous as i love the 70 seres landcruise. but we can not get them here in the uk. you can up grade the springs
  2. the problem is that they do not control burn it then this happends
  3. i was thinking the same as james jones do not excapt un certiveid timber and i was looking in to it
  4. i would question this change in momentium = (mass *intial velocity) -( MASS X FINAL VELOCITY) = FORCE X TIME when you brake you can excert can only excert a maximum force due to the coefficient of friction is constat loaded or unloaded. therfore you force is the same. therefore your it will take longer to stop as you have a larger mass when loaded. the neuton second law would show this to if you do not increace you brakeing force which is very hard to do when loaded. so it would take longer
  5. i would love to see it to forestry spec it would be a true beast then.
  6. i am not shore but aiming for friday.
  7. no i do not mean our ship building but agri engereening is very big. it is one of our strong points. flemmming, redrock, NC, kane trailers, Quad x, Dale kane trailers, keenen, wilson, McCauley Trailers, walter watsons, nugget, Chieftain trailers, gpm trailers to name a few. with a most of these with most of thes with in an hour and a half of us and will know of some of these
  8. i would waite a wile for the groung to be wetter as it is easier to put post in deeper so they hold better in the long term. and get good posts.
  9. they are very well made and built, good northern ireland engeneering.
  10. this ws what i do not get why should we provide dry wood with steven crofft they burn ther wood at aproxtly 50% moisture. cthis is a descrase eon should show some responablity. and it was goverment funded
  11. i know were you are coming from but why spend when you do your c+e it is cost less per licance than if you did the BE only as with the C+E you get C, C1, B+E, C1+E as well. and if you have any bus ones as well you will be able to tow with them, as well if you think alot of bigger arb compieas they have a lorry over 3.5 tons withs a haib and chipers over 750 so doing your CE gives them flexablity with opratotrs. and a most of forestry contractors all work with lorrys to. and if you are woundering why i whant to do my CE it is that it gives me more flexablity at home as it means i can drive our lorry and when i am at uni do temp when i am free.(its not bad money) it also mean i can tow the catle trailers. whitch is anoying. i
  12. the cab is important but ldv went bust in 09 thet tells you lots
  13. i would recomend take some strong arnica as it reduces sweelling
  14. lol that is why i said the C+E it as gives you more options and when you think about it it is only 1000 more than the B+E but it gives you more for you money. and flexablity and arb compinies will like this lots.
  15. i got a silky HAYAUCHI 6.3m if i do not need all the reach all the time but got it as it would be handy and glad i did get the long one. as i am pruning alot of hard wood for timber i remove the extra ones. it is alot nicer on the arms, it realy handy to use. what about jemson i have neave used one but i think you could fit a silky blade to it. and you can get extars for it Pole saws | F R Jones and Son
  16. dose the outer boom have ware pads it the tip. i am just crousis. what are you going to to do about the ware top of the inner boom. i would say this is quite important you could cut the worn bit out and insert a smaller pice of box into it and then weld a nother plate to it. i would say that the outer has worn unevenly more at near the open end than the other in terms of were the iner boom stops. this is fron the angle at the inner boom has worn at ps do you have any pitchers of the end of the outer boom
  17. it may be worth speeking to willisons as well as they also braek harvester and you might be able to get a compleet set up motor and all
  18. what about doing you C+E it would give you your b+e as well it will cost more but a lot of compinies do have lorrys and it would help even more and you could use it as back up now and then and drive artics
  19. i have had bags made in the sadlers before now and still have them. i got them made extra heavy duty. they are very good. i have also had other stuf made inclucing belts but they cost more but you get them the way you whant them stronger and i would recon tha to rip them you would hardly lift them
  20. Clark will make them for you, they seem to do all sorts of things they are brillernt peolpe. edit this is ther harvester site http://www.clark-engineering.com/harvester-equipment
  21. dean i would say that people have been using it at full extension with it on the ground as it would alow them to see the forks excta beater. due to inexperance
  22. was there any talk of when they are relising it as like the sound of it
  23. That is the problem i have. i do not know of any sc coppice in NI. Northern Ireland is the least forested country in europe only less than 6% with about 99.9% of the saw logs produced by the forest service yearly.
  24. i would love sc but it is not common around us so i am condering planting some for posts
  25. the time is what was worring me. out of couerosity what how long would you spect a sc posts to last. i was conderin planting on a coulpe of small plots that are to small to farm easly and are harder to acess all the time for farming due to lack of our own acess. but i would be able to do it easer once in a while. but as a long term thing it might be better as i would mean less fencing
