  10. but did you know that they aragonated from shooting as they whating to improve incets and nestind habit for gray leg partidge. even though set aside is not compulstry now, field margins are still being paid for by dardni under the countryside magment and they counted as set aside i know what you mean and i have seen this happen only when there was no ground cover estabilished eg a plowed field left. but we neaver had this problem as we sowed gass and wild flowers for the margins to get the grant.
  11. first time living in a city let a lone a village. In aberdeen at monent but still the counts as the living in countryside I am just be visiting uni for 3 more years.
  12. just to get you all thinking about grants under the countryside managment sceame farmer can be paid for set a side leaving grass maragemens around arrable fields. for native flowers. beetle banks in big arable field to creat a home for bugs when the crops are harvested so they can over winter and reconlised the field quicker when replanted. in fact it is possible to cover you cost from loss of production from the ban as it can reduce pesticide use as you do not have to do as much preventive spraying.

  15. well then i better call our logs bouldersas thery are huge i is brilllent as i do not split any thing smaller than 16" and they are about 14" long. apart from lifting them. we may have 3 fires going all daymost of the winter. worst bit is the size of the big rings lots of burr elm all to split by hand you get good with a sledge.
