  1. Like these but more winches, cranes, grabs, cutters, flails, chippers, knockers, splitters, buckets, backhoes etc.
  2. Mini mogs, Halfingers, the dinky Pinzgauers. Show 'em! Extra points for implements.
  3. Not sure what sort of thing people will be up for but I'll probably end up at one or both of the above two tomorrow (Saturday). People welcome to join or pitch up as they like. Parking: Arger Fen - Gravel laybys at TL930353. Assington Thicks - Layby at TL934380 or farm shop car park 300m south. For Sunday, there's a good cafe (Wally's Cafe - TL884458) not far from Long Melford. Breakfast and then a look at a few woods north of Kentwell Hall (park near circular building at TL863477) maybe? All just ideas. It's eggsarascal's party so happy to go with his plans.
  4. No particular tree springs to mind but Arger Fen and Assington Thicks both have a good mix of species, ecologies, management etc. Good for a walk with climbing gear on the off chance. I'll give you a call around lunchtime and we'll organise something for the afternoon.
  5. Arger Fen is probably 10 or 15 minutes' drive from Castle Eggsarascal too. Assington Thicks a couple of minutes' closer still.
  6. I'd like to come along. Not exactly sure where to though! I'd be up for some climbing Saturday and/or Sunday daytimes and a campfire rave-up or pub jaunt by night. What's the plan, anyone?
  7. Very much appreciate the kind words, Andy.
  8. This has all worked out rather well. I've talked to Steve Williams and start on Monday!
  9. Kinder still. And thanks for the tip, other Alex.
  10. John Moses Browning John Browning - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia YouTube - ‪Tales of the Gun. Browning Guns 1 of 4‬‏
  11. You don't necessarily need to be pulling on the bar. The bar is only the convenient anchor that fits in a doorframe. You could suspend whatever grip you want from the bar and pull on that/those.
  12. Chemicals and napalm (perfectly serious suggestion by the way)?
  13. I think I speak for many when I remind easy-lift guy that (despite it being your national sport) you are not the self-appointed everything police.
  14. Looking good, folks. Keep them coming. Plenty of ideas to consider. Would definitely do the conversion myself. Interested to hear what electrics people use? On another forum I put this thread on someone came up with a Unimog with something the size of a shed on the back. They manage to get an open canoe on and off it too!
  15. Looking for inspiration on vans for outdoor stuff. I’ll wager plenty of people here climb, paddle, bike, surf etc. Pictures and a brief description of facilities and how they work out for your use please.

How long did you have to stay like that for the artist to complete the painting?
  17. Someone get that man a TV series!
  18. I can see where you're coming from but the angle I was pushing hardest was why is it one rule for one and another rule for another. In terms of qualification, training etc then I am a fan of people getting on with it. The delights of natural order and the free market economy (manifested in insurance companies and training providers) will sort out the majority of problems.
  19. Thank me by writing to your MP and ask him why if your mum can drive a heavy trailer why can't you.

  21. Enjoyed the video. Nice change to crash and bash heroics. More please.
  22. I'm near Sudbury and won't be going miles out of my way. Delivery to Sudbury ish is fine. My mate is in Ipswich. Look forward to hearing from people.
