  1. Pay a nine-year-old to climb it in his trainers.
  2. Reg Coates has some good advice on this in one of his YouTube videos.
  3. Very probably. Skinhead with an orange and blue watch strap and possibly an Alsatian. Feel free to say hello.
  4. Small saws are stupid. You should all stick with a minimum of a 460 on the ground or you're a sissy and won't be allowed to wear vest tops to work any more. Meanwhile, I'll stick with looking a poof with my 170 and enjoy my elbows and shoulders for years to come.

    Emigrating

I think I'm with huck. I complain like hell about a lot of stuff in England/the UK but I can't imagine living anywhere else.
  6. I never realised how similar they are. There must be a story behind that.
  7. GoPro just announced their drone (Karma) and DJI are announcing their new one in the next few weeks (27th of September or October). Watch that space.
  8. Someone sell me a Rope Wrench, please. And a stiff tether and Hitch Climber and/or similar SRT tat. Send me a PM.
  9. From Why Anjem Choudary should not have been sent to prison "It was impossible not to feel rather sorry for the radical Muslim ‘cleric’ Anjem Choudary and his imbecilic henchman Mohammed Rahman as they were each sentenced to five and a half years in prison by a British court. ‘Allahu Akbar!’ his supporters chanted as the sentence was delivered, an invigorating, all-purpose phrase used during decapitations, bombings or just as one is walking down the street. I have taken to using it as well recently, most especially at a critical juncture when I am pleasuring my wife. I think she appreciates it, although I would not be so ungentlemanly as to wake her up and ascertain for sure."
  10. Is anyone going through Sudbury (Suffolk) and just going for a day? If so, feel free to PM me for a lift share.
  11. I think Chris Gill posted the colour code on here a while ago.
  12. Good video and good work. Excellent saw choice.
  13. If anyone has a really goosed 5-10" ish chipper (or bits of) they want to get rid of for free or a few hundred pounds, please PM me.
  14. Stefan and the guy who runs back from the chipper should get together and take over the world.
  15. Monsieur Bolam is correct (as usual) but if you want a more formal approach, matelot's suggestion of a university law clinic is good for this sort of situation. They'll be back from summer hols and in need of clients in a couple of weeks.
  16. Quite. Ross, Dig out whatever paperwork you have. Tax stuff, any "contract" or communications between you and the company, evidence of other work you've done, receipts for saws, PPE, servicing etc.
  17. If you want some advice on what your contract means, you could get a solicitor to explain it to you. If you don't want to pay a solicitor, university law departments often have free law clinics. Students are usually supervised by practising solicitors so the advice you get on low level stuff like this will be fine. https://www.lawclinic.org.uk/ is the one google found first in Glasgow. Best of luck with it.
  18. So, to ask the most basic of questions, it really is a matter of just cut it at the bottom, bend it over, stake it (down) and hope it lives?
