  1. I got a new Lucas key but it goes in a few mm and then is too big (no jokes please). Someone said to file it down or is it possible a new barrel has been fitted which isn't a Lucas?
  2. I'm keen not to damage the lock, will a screwdriver damage anything?
  3. I'm told its a Ford 5000 but I cannot find any images that match. I need a key for it and a new Lucas key doesn't fit. Any help greatly appreciated.
  4. That's a good deal, surprised you can't shift it at that price.
  5. Put it this way, mine lives in the garage.
  6. Doesn't look like a hycrack....maybe it's a very old one
  7. We have one. Slow, but gets through any wood. Working all day you might get 6 cube if lucky. But be warned, very warned, they will have you the second you take your eye off the ball. Fast as you like they can flip, really be careful and if you have a bloke working for you, make sure they have their own insurance!!!
  8. She was an old lady who was in politics. She's died. Anyone who is glad that she is dead is a moron. She wasn't Hitler, or Bin laden. She was a Prime Minister. Look at how many people are loosing their jobs right now. The country is on its knees. Ignorance.
  9. If I was a log buyer, typically a user who lights up at the weekend, who buys a cube here and a cube there, I'd definitely buy one of your log stores. They look great, look solid, and come erected. Job done for me. Forget all this blah blah blah, is it this is that. They look really good. Sell em.....
  10. Reckon ms 391 takes some beating.
  11. Hi timber bear, what make is your splitter?
  12. Mr Log 2013 finally sees the light and admits defeat

  15. Unloading by hand is a mugs game is it? And you are? We all have to start somewhere so button it. Mr uk log dealer of the year, not.
  16. Well said Yaffle. So to all those folk who says its rubbish wood, hard to season etc, stay clear and all that, it's a really good stove wood
  17. The oil seems fine, I check it all the time. It just drips onto the belt and out onto the floor. Happened this winter because I forgot the anti freeze
  18. We use an old d series ford to run the splitter. She's old and rusty and leaks water as she runs ( needs topping up every 15 mins or so but can do while still running splitter) the tractor has tons of power and starts first time. Can it continue to run even if the blocks are gone? Or will it eventually just blow up?
  19. Big dave you must be doing something wrong. Any wood, logged ready to for stove or fire, will dry in 2 years.
  20. We sell logs to a multi millionaire who has a huge hall with an open fire in it. He just wants the fire going and then sits in another room in his mansion. Great for us, he gets through loads of wood. Can't understand it myself.
  21. Pmh - does your customer have an open fire?
  22. By product of felling an amenity tree. Ermmmm, yes that's right. What else would it be. As for the French, they can burn whatever they like.
  23. Sweet chestnut is a totally different wood to horse. I agree, avoid sweet, but horse is superb when dry. It's not an opinion, I've burnt the stuff and its hot as you like!
  24. Stubby, how can u tell the liner diameter if a stove is already attached? Or is there not a way to tell without removing existing stove?
  25. Cheers. Is there any way of telling? My current burner is attached to it via a 6 inch flu?
