  2. just been readin all the posts what i,ve been doing this year as i,ve got a large log shed to work out off all this rain is mix whatever i have as i share the wood out for use of the land and help splitting the stuff works well if its dry and free i will use it its just the space and handling it gets boring lol

  4. theres a reason for the choice of engine and if kholer was not upto it then it would,nt be in use today etc longevity oil filter ( no oil filter ) etc etc small engine stressed short lifespan" as for a well balanced smoother power curve vee twin with and oil filter to keep the nastys out thus longer life of engine as its built to last dont get me wrong here a decent honda engine will fight its corner and work hard for you looked after but there must be a reason why its not used on your machine application not suited etc
  5. interesting woodchip dugin/rotovated into the soil h,mm not so sure its the rite thing though i thought it would suppress not encourage and rejuvinate/feed the soil etc i,e does it not become acidic ???
  6. if its looked after my mate has just changed his toyota colarado there good for 350.000 miles + easy main agents get lots of 300.000 milers in for service
  7. the birch bark is good too for starting your fire good stuff you cant have too much birch

  9. yeh! cos" it says metal on my grinder disc,s n stone on stone disc,s i,ve even got one that says diamond on it so thought you need a wood saw for wood with a wood blade etc cant afford to use/cut a diamond cost to much
  10. just thinking what should i give back to my veg patch its been 3 years now and feeling i should treat the ground to either a rest or something to revive/recover etc its full of worms looks healthy and i manured it last year and run the garden fork through it all etc should i get it rotovatored and rest it or carry on and re plant etc & no spudz either last year so any advice would be greatful ps all thats in now is some old cabbages there for next doors chickens and a strawberry patch but really want to leave that part alone for strawberrys this year etc
  11. i got some chip for my friend/neighbour who has chickens and still unsure what their problem was but would not walk or go near the chip whatsoever they were stood outside there coop and would not cross the chip to go in he had to clear it away but i know they like what comes out the back of a chainsaw oh and malted milk bicky,s lol gets ,em clucking to each other
  12. i would at a guess my choice for slaying trees would be a wooden chainsaw with a wood cutting blade thingy on it tiss rite
  13. Can i ask are they any good with arb waste please ?? What i mean is dry seasoned old knotty hard as hell stuff or are they best used for the cream wood cord etc i would guess it would have to have a decent hp engine running them etc thus counter productive as a hyd is slower but can use a smaller engine less fuel etc there just sloooooooooower i know as stated marmite lol

  15. yes very true hit the nail on the head been bitten a few times and bought a dud low hp engine wrong gearing belts jumping off stalling engine blood and more finger blood lol i just plod with a hydraulic splitter as i only do arb waste so had no choice just a steep learning curve for me duh"

  18. i have watched a few times the caravan dwellers at macky,s lob all there litter on the floor and drive away worst one was at my own doctors on the carpark they just had a big clear out of there car one day they have no shame etc >>> but bet if i turned up next to there van and did the same it would tears all round
  19. its as i was told had a stone/woodchip trapped inside the flywheel and well grim death paid a visit to all and anything near it as it was running and went up in smoke mangled/kipperd everything charging system coils etc etc blown from the inside out so to speak acording to sean when he stripped it down today that why he,s looking for a doner engine for parts

    arthur i live down the road from burtonwood and as a young lad went to burtonwood steam fair on my uncle les,s shoulders i loved it walking round etc blast from the past eh!
