  2. This thread has been enjoyable to read and learn from as well. A series of pictures charting the progress would really be interesting from a how to stand point so future members can say he or she has been there and done that. Thanks for sharing. easy-lift guy
  3. Classic. Nearly looks like the old Koolaide logo from the past, at least the face. easy-lift guy
  4. Only until other means of keeping warm or cooking are exhausted. If that occurs, and it surely could, all bets are off. easy-lift guy
  5. Both countries are using the present pricing as a weapon. Lower oil prices hurt Russia and future plans. Same holds true for Iran and less funds to continue Nuclear ambitions , or at least slow it down. easy-lift guy
  6. I agree with your local oil rep. It has been reported here Stateside the SA has at least 1 Trillion in USD in reserves. There is an oil war on right now and the first country on the chopping block will be Russia. SA can afford to sell their crude at a lower price for up to 5 years while not effecting the standard of living for the country as a whole. Meanwhile the fracking companies here in the US are keeping very tight lipped about their breakeven point to produce a barrel of crude by way of fracking. If the House of Saudi can wear down and out the supply over the next 5 years from the US they may regain control of the cartel that is quickly slipping out of their hands:thumbup1:. I don't see that happening. easy-lift guy
  7. The only way prices will stop falling is if the government decides to increase the Tax on the finished product, which regrettably talk abounds now since the Feds don't want to be slighted:sneaky2: My opinion from the other side of the pond. Happy New Year. easy-lift guy
  8. In the future Drone technology will be able to accomplish many different task making the Arborculturel industry safer and more cost affective. When specific flight paths are designated in the future by national governments, I believe traveling to and from job sites will all but be unnecessary since Drones can review a tree from the air and transmit this information in real time to customer and service provider. Questions and answers along with proposals can be transmitted on line for jobs to be done. When I saw the Drone at this years APF I know in time smaller more cost efficient versions of this technology are in the wings. Science fiction nearly always becomes Science fact given enough time:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  9. From a practical ground dwellers point of view a pair of climbing boots with retractable spikes seem novel enough. How pratacial especially from a market standpoint may be another matter. I do predict that drone technology in time will replace typical means of sending throw bags up into trees, making existing means obsolete in the not two distant future. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. easy-lift guy
  10. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years to you and your family. easy-lift guy

  13. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family. I hope your new work gig pans out for the best. easy-lift guy
  14. How about Natural selection through evolution and Mother nature filling in the blanks. easy-lift guy
  15. The landscaping is one thing and yes I believe a better more logical design could have been prepared. The problem here state side and I suppose over in the UK is that there are minimum requirements to meet code or to secure a CO Certificate of Occupancy. When bare minimum requirements take the place of common sense the results look a lot like the hospital pictured. TBH regardless who was responsible for the parking lot that job would have been flagged here stateside and the General Contractor would be in a heep of trouble for such piss poor work. Still time to make repairs, however very much like polishing a turd, same appearance and results. easy-lift guy
  16. Man and natural selection. easy-lift guy
  17. I thought that landscapers in the US only did such horrible work. To many trees and no place for them to grow in a mature environment. The bamboo or what ever is hanging from the side of the building really looks poor. Looks like the owners of the building were sold a bill of goods. Maybe a blind person could appreciate the job, just maybe! easy-lift guy PS, I just noticed the parking lot paving job as well. Who is responsible for issuing a final inspection for such piss poor work?
  18. I believe you would have a better chance fighting and prevailing over your opposition with regards o the boundary line between the Two properties, with or with out funding. As far as charging for services rendered for shearing hedges for many years in the past to the present, that may be more of a stretch and I suspect would fail at any recovery. Concentrate on your primary goal of making sure the survey is in your favor. At least that's how it would be handled over this side of the pond. easy-lift guy
  19. Couple of bakers dozen I imagine. Beautiful home to boot! easy-lift guy
  20. Thanks Stubby, Geoff . Stay warm and keep the fires burning. Ted
  21. Thanks Jon, Sonia. Now go find some butts and don't spare the Cizzer! Ted,Kim
  22. Greetings all members. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Was very nice to catch up with many new members at the APF along with the wrecking crew:thumbup1: All the best. Ted, Kim
  23. Actually if things really got bad most of the public may be using same commodity to keep them selfs warm. Hard currency will only trickle down so far when it comes to the masses and their needs. easy-lift guy
  24. Supply just may dry up since the amount of hard currency generated from the sale of this commodity may be better served and saved for the locals. Reports I have heard here of long lines at the ATM'S to than purchase everything off of store shelf before new price increases kick in. easy-lift guy
  25. Good choice, I believe you will enjoy your investment:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
