  1. The LJ & the SJ are jumpy, until you get used to them. It takes about 20 minutes to get used to them.
  2. Transit tippers, or any with double rear wheels are useless if there is a dark cloud in the sky. Mine regularly gets stuck on a wet Maple leaf! Not quite so bad when loaded but as soon as you drive off, the front tyres get pressed into the mud then you're stuck. When unloaded, the double tyres 'float' on top of anything soft and wet, then you're stuck. A Transit can cross severely boggy ground so long as you're doing 180mph and the boggy part isn't more than 3m across

  4. Not so Mini but we had this out last week and it did such a lot if work. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  5. They sure are. Hiring it out again tomorrow. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  6. I'd get a Loadhandler for occasional use. For every day use you'll need a tipper.
  7. That's code for Bognor Regis
  8. Simple solution no1: Threaten to deduct the next repair from their pay cheque, then do it. Simple solution no2: Sack their moron asses! That's what I would do. Why should you pay for someone else's stupidity. Wear & tear and genuine accidents are one thing, Stoopid is another.
  9. If you're rubbish at footlocking (like me) get a foot grab, regardless of which hitch system you're using. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  10. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  11. A HC system is not dangerous but if using a VT hitch keep an eye on it. A Lockjack and Spiderjack are the same but SJ had the brake. It's a personal preference thing. I'd go for a ZigZag. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  12. I've found it better and it's an easy mod. When you open the case nothing pops out so it's dead easy. Well, if I managed it....... Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  13. That triangular flap is strategically designed to get caught on objects that until now, you didn't know existed on this planet! However, they are the comfiest most durable trousers I've had so well done on your choice, IMO. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  14. Yes you can. SRWP isn't for seasoned experts, anyone can do it at any time. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  15. I Got to exactly the same position a you Matt. I got a the Predator 450 from Arbrep Services and it's been money well spent. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  16. That's why I don't do it myself. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  17. Now that is a proper Chelsea drug dealers ride, if ever I saw one. Nice though.
  18. There have been a few threads on it so if you use the search icon, all will be revealed.
  19. I used the HAAS twice yesterday going into an 85ft Redwood. It is definitely better than I thought it would be, compared to Petzl hand ascender and foot loop. Also, no toothed ascender above my hitch.
  20. It's better because the rope still pulls vertically down out of the HH, as it's designed to do but then you can tend round the pulley as you wish. Money well spent.
  21. Spike up it, lanyard round under the canopy. You won't get scratched by anything as it all falls past you. Then the groundies clear it up before you get down.
  22. It doesn't matter which foot but the body technique will be totally different. With the Pantin on, you will stand upright and push your foot vertically down. At the same time place your hand under your hitch system to effortlessly slide it up the rope as the rope moves down through it. Your Pantin leg does all the work which is good as these muscles are very big and capable. (At this point you may start to wonder why you have not converted to an SRT system yet. Oh don't get me started on the amazing benefits of redirects and zero friction:laugh1:).
  23. Here 'tis. Works like the proverbial treat! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
