  1. Welcome Mad, good post. I'm not a cuddly chap I'm pure athlete:laugh1: and the Progress fit me well and are dead comfy. Proof that they fit everyone well and they are better than all other trousers on the market. There, just like throwing bangers on a fire!:laugh1:
  2. That's not an Arb truck, it's a Pimp Mobile. I love it. Envious!
  3. Right mate, outside, now! Actually Stretch Air are the same as Progress IMO. They feel the same shape and the stitching in the crotch area opens as soon as you climb in the truck. Although the waist fit is better than the Stretch Airs. Progress all the way!!
  4. Oh Andy, you've done it now. Sipps Progress are the best. Stihl Hi-Flex are the worst.
  5. Oh, I never thought of that.
  6. OMG, here we go again😂. Can I strongly suggest you look through the old threads on trousers as this is the topic that seems to cause the most squabbling. During the last one, I thought a few of us were going to have to meet in a field and draw muskets!😱😱.
  7. It seems a desperate shame LOTS attachment has not been included but a D shackle in the top of the tether would do the job, cheaply.
  8. That video should be used in schools and colleges everywhere. Freaking awesome!!
  9. You'll be there by now so I hope it's going we'll. it's pretty windy here!
  10. How would it rotate upside down, a Karab doesn't rotate? I tried using the handle to release but nothing happened. Obviously doing it wrong. Otherwise it feels good. Still need more practice to get smooth with it.
  11. Predictive text. I love it😂
  12. He lives in Kew, suburb of Reading and Guildford. 😜
  13. I bought a Cinch today while at Honey Bros. I've read this thread again for tips as I'll be using it on my lanyard. How are you getting on Albere as you've had yours for nearly a month? Any advice? I've already got some Sampson Velocity so I'll use that in it.
  14. I was at Honey Brothers today and had a look at their sample helmet. I honestly think it's a superb design. The adjustment is simple and when you depress the flap at the back it feels like the harness turns into a cradle around the head. Super comfy. The ear muffs are easy to locate and move but best of all is the ventilation. It's clear to see even in a photo that fresh air will be drawn in under the rim of the helmet, due to the wide fit, at the same time the hot air around your head will exhaust through the vents in the top. Whilst working, the head is usually tilted down slightly so these vents are perfectly positioned. Compare this to the helmets we're used to and you'll see that the snug fit all round creates a conflict with fresh air struggling to travel in while the warm air tries to get out. I realise that plenty of people criticise the aesthetics of the Protos but that doesn't interest me. I'm only interested in function. Because our job is already uncomfortable enough I'll do anything to make it easier regardless of how I look. I can't wait to get mine!
  15. By hiring the GRCS with operator you'll get to see how it can used effectively without wasting time fumbling about. These really are the kind of tools that have more functions than you can imagine. They're not expensive when you find out how often you'll use it. Agreed. I've got a Stein Dual and its used more than I expected so the same must be true of the GRCS.
  16. Yeah I guess so. I climbed on a Prussik first, then a LJ for eight years. Since getting my RW in February I still really miss the self tailing that the LJ (& SJ) is so good at, although not enough to stop SRTing.
  17. You misread my post mate. I bought one early last year and really rate it highly. The Pulleysaver is 1st class! I used it today doing a reduction on a Yew tree with my LJ. I still use DRT on very small trees as setting up the gear is faster.
  18. So is the general consensus that the Granberg is the best or is there a better one? I've always been keen on one of these but my employees are useless at sharpening and I don't want to give them something that won't improve their skills. Maybe I'll get one and ban them from it
  19. Not in Reigate.
  20. I got the 1.25m Pulleysaver and its the right length. Never needed the longer one. Hi Silky. I hear ya, I wouldn't move to SRT if I had all your new gear. The move for me was easy as my LJ was very old. Also, friction used to drive me mad!
  21. Why buy a friction saver to make climbing a bit easier? A Rope Wrench will make climbing a lot easier and costs less! .
  22. Exact same experience with me. I'll never go back to MS and Cloud has made my whole Apple system even better. 👍
  23. Thorne Engineering do Gravely. Worth a call.
  24. I've have not seen this and never heard of it but its not as good as the iPad. Thread finished. 😂
