  1. That's great news Paul. Show 'em this thread and they'll give you a promotion before you even start!
  2. No. I supplied the truck with steel tipping body. Solent then cut the steel off and built up from there with Ali planking.

  3. Mate, a HH is better IMO. It does DRT and SRT perfectly and is simply an improvement. Don't take my word for it though as mine won't arrive until later this week but take a look at the photos, consider the design and you'll see its the nuts. Read the 'Ropetek Hitch Hiker' thread on The Treehouse forum to learn more then email Ropetek to make payment 👍.
  4. My first tip would be to buy a Hitch Hiker and a Pantin. Away you go. Ask technique questions as soon as you get stuck and answers will be provided. You won't look back.
  5. What I meant is, why buy a gadget that does DRT only. I'd advise a Uni or HH as they do single and double rope perfectly.
  6. Get a 37m rope instead of 45m. Get a Pantin. Pulleysaver instead of the ART as its cheaper and does the same. Get a Hitch Hiker instead of a HC as it does the same job but better, will last a lot lot longer and if you ever decide to try SRT a HH will do it without modification.
  7. 5 cubic meters on a Transit? That is one BIG risk you're taking!
  8. That's a very good price point! Having said that, I wonder if it will still be that price when it's really here.
  9. This thread is the ultimate CV Paul. You should have just emailed the guy this link.
  10. Ah yes, maybe the rope diameter is the reason the handle isn't working out too well for me.
  11. I've tried it on the left and right and it works on both. Just got to figure out where I'm most comfortable with it. It's All good though.
  12. Samson Velocity. I thinks that's 11.7mm, could be wrong.
  13. So after a few more climbs I still can't get the handle to work unless my full weight is on the lanyard in an SRT style with the cinch attached to my bridge. When its on my side Ds I just squeeze the Cinch and it works well. I really like it though.
  14. That looks good Dog Tag but way more frames than necessary so must be very heavy.
  15. What time of year did the decline occur?
  16. That's correct.
  17. Sorry guys, I'm in a hurry and wondering what this is as I'm not 100%.
  18. Oh, is that chip box as heavy as it looks? It looks like a solid block of iron!
  19. A Stein Trolley is infinitely better than a wheel barrow for infinite reasons. Firstly the Stein doesn't fall over. It's carries a hell of a lot more. It can be pulled by a winch. It's much stronger. Etc etc etc etc.
  20. Agreed. If you feel awkward because he's a mate just tell him you've got PAID work from others lined up and can't help him yet. That make focus him a bit.
  21. The level of ignorance is astonishing! That sugary thing sounds great.
  22. And you're thinking of moving back North? WTF!! 😂😂
  23. Several people have made their own then admitted they should have bought the Stein straight away. Buy the proper kit and you know it will do a proper job. My stein trolley is the cheapest piece of kit I've ever bought because it is used so much. I've got two really good guys working for me and the trolley makes the job easier which them happier.
  24. Reckon you're right Paul but why buy both when for less money a Hitch Hiker will do the same or for three times the price, so will a Unicender. Personally I'd go with the single device. Having said that, it's wonderfully shiny and the HH isn't.
