  1. I bought Pulsarail waterproofs from Granite Workwear. Quality seems good and the price is very good. They come in hi-vis orange or yellow.
  2. Thanks guys. Head down and keep plugging on. Jnoon, sorry I hadn't read the whole thread and didn't realise the Iveco would be above budget. All the advice given so far is good IMO, especially about getting a 4WD not 2WD.
  3. Someone mentioned a speedline over the gardens but have you also considered a skyline. If you made a mistake on the previous quote then you should be fine this time around. With that in mind I imagine you really want to maximise your profit so I would rig and man haul it. At least you know what you're doing with this system because if you don't have much crane experience you could really loose out on a complicated job. Also, on big jobs like this I always try to price really high and don't worry if I loose the job. Being 10% wrong on price can run to a loss of several hundreds or a couple of grand. Also, Rigging down big stems is massively hard work and painful, you wanna earn really good dosh for that.
  4. I would love to buy it Stephen and on reflection, I'd just partition the crew cab off. Sadly though, not only am I seriously spent up, a client has just knocked me for £5.5k! Not a good way to start the new year.
  5. The "Favourite TV Girls" thread, of course!
  6. It started at 8am and by 10:30 there was 1.5". No big deal and got the tree dismantled. Only problem is owning a Transit van. A biscuit tin would be better at getting up the slight slope leaving the clients house.
  7. I've really go to grips with it now. The key to it is making sure that the hitch knot is set right. It needs to be good and tight. I've been using the supplied Beeline but next week I'll try 8MM OP to see how that differs as that's what I used on my ZK1. I'm climbing on Poison HiVee. I also liked the compact design and especially the ease of changing from SRWP to DdRT. Tending on ascents on ascenders is no longer an issue, it was just a coordination, body position and foot loop length problem in the end. I rarely use the foot loop but often clip the hand ascender on just cos it's easy to grip. I just wish I had a Kong Futura instead. Tending ascents the rest of the time is smooth now because I discovered how important the hitch knot setting is. By simply loosening or tightening one of the stopper knots, you achieve a massive difference in grip. Improving on the ZK1 is easy. Just get a HH or ZK2. I can't say that the HH is better than the ZK2 because it's a personal preference thing. The HH certainly has a couple of advantages though and that favours me.
  8. Got a leaning Sycamore over a phone line dismantled then home. The curse of the most useless Arbtruck in the world. The 3.5T!
  9. Well I've now joined Mac4Mac forum and still can't get an answer that works. I'm using Mountain Lion. Clicking on the photo then pressing the delete button produces a beep, not a list of options! Confused & frustrated 👎
  10. I'm between Reigate and Gatwick Airport and it's just started, although very light.
  11. That's a good question. As legislation and certification tightens it's grip, who has found that these kinds of quali's have led them into a job that would otherwise be out of reach? The other way round; Which employers are starting to consider higher Arb quali's to be necessary for an applicant to gain a position in their company?
  12. Must phone the retailers tomorrow and find out who's stocking those ladders! 😄
  13. That's good. I always believe that the more 'tricks' you know, the safer you'll be. Especially if something goes wrong.
  14. Jameson or Marvin. Same thing.
  15. No decision MW, just buy Silky's SJ! 😂😂
  16. I don't have time for other forums. I now spend all my spare time trying to delete photos of hot women from Photo Stream!
  17. What is this fate revolver. I saw you mention it on Treehouse but thought it was a typo:blushing:
  18. Does anyone know the dates for the FR Jones show in Kent this year?
  19. Good things happen to good people. Very well deserved Paul. See you soon.
  20. I don't know whether to laugh, cry, be impressed, or be horrified. I just don't know what to make of it.
  21. Are you serious? The HH does the same job as the RW, it just feels different. Simple put, it works perfectly in an SRWP application, as does your Rope Wrench.
  22. Oh, I didn't know I had one. If it's not intuitive then I'm lost. Yes, I'm using a Mac.
  23. Ditto that man.
  24. Because there is a tiny ridge that runs along the top of the helmet, front to back. However, due to the visor when it's up, the camera may be positioned to far back anyway. I've used it this morning on my old Petzl.
  25. Is Stephen Blair's Iveco 4x4 still for sale? That is brilliant and at a good price.
