  1. It's all good Wolter. I'm always up the tree so only a bird poo will fall on my head. Thats exactly what I keep saying JimM! The shell is much bigger than a Petzl or Stein but it measures smaller than them with the ear muffs sticking out the sides. And nothing gets snagged on it. I know some people don't like how it looks. I couldn't care less how I look, It's all about comfort and function for me.
  2. Well we've had the two hot days of the year here. About 26 degrees but very humid. The ventilation is definitely better because I noticed no sweat build up inside the shell and my hair wasn't drenched as before. Today I've taken the vent cover off, at Treespotters suggestion. It was easy to slide off and reveals six more narrow vents. Got to be a good thing, unless it compromises the safety. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  3. Andrew t, you obviously have not worn one at work. The helmet dimensions are smaller than a Petzl set because the Petzl has everything hanging off the side of it. It doesn't snag on branches and has better air flow so your head will be cooler. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  4. Well done Dan. I used to use a Lockjack with a tether under it. Works really well in is good from an ergonomic point of view. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  5. Hey Keiran. If you're 6ft tall just get a 44ft ladder. Bingo!! 👍😂😂😂 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  6. Safety glasses are useless unless the lens comes down quite close to your cheeks. I've had small bits fly up under the lens straight into the eye ball. I use the Bolle glasses. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  7. Agreed. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  8. I love the idea of having one of these and the benefits are obvious. However, no matter how I try, my clients rarely want to keep any chips. I guess it's because of the volume. Shame because if I could use one regularly I'd get one in a heart beat. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  9. I have a vacancy that is for a preferably full time member of staff. Based in Horley, Surrey between M25 & Gatwick. Good working conditions that other staff can testify to, I hope. Pay dependant on ability. Please pm or email or call if you are interested. 01293 782547 or 07834 414271. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  10. Buy the TV. You probably won't be allowed to use your own climbing gear at college and in any case, you may accidentally buy the wrong stuff because you don't have any experience yet. Do your thing at college then buy gear when you know what you want. By the way, did college folk tell you this is a growth industry and there's lots of jobs? Pah! PS: if you get the TV you can watch porn. A rope and harness isn't very exciting really. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  11. Pah! I got woken up one hour before the 7am weekend threshold and my cubs have been horrible all day. As a result, lunch at their favourite restaurant was cancelled. Can't wait to get to work tomorrow. Feel very sad 👎👎 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  12. The best harness is the one that you are most comfortable in. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  13. Can't remember. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  14. Sorry, I'm a bit behind the curve here an haven't read the whole thread. What is CPC? What does it mean for us? Thanks. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  15. Iveco 4x4. There's on advertised on Arbtrader now. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  16. Bag in as high as possible and ascend the rope, but definitely not DdRT though. That would defeat the purpose. You'll need a Pantin then optional are hand ascender and chest loop. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  17. How the hell did you get a chainsaw on an aircraft?! They have a policy of no gas powered tools at all. Even brand new and unused. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  18. Nice one Tony. I have my Sidewinder orientated the same way but have re-routed the rope through the other exit point. It ensures a smoother route. I have found the hole to be a bit small though and need to enlarge it. Enjoy. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  19. If you wear a glove, it feels like it's someone else. 😂😂😜😮 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  20. I have a 36" for mine. Don't forget it's a different gauge chain so you'll need the other size sprocket. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  21. I've asked to use it a few times but only if I have a good relationship with client and its only when I've needed the Internet in a hurry, to deal with break downs. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  22. Leaving it a bit late aren't you?😄 Good luck tomorrow though. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  23. Grais, you certainly do devote a lot of time complaining about products you have no interest in. 😂😂😂 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  24. I didn't insert any transitions, if that's what you mean. God I find this stuff so confusing! 😩😩😩 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  25. I just found this on Treebuzz and thought it relevant here. It was written and originally posted by Thomas of RopeArmor: IF you are using the FASTattach system with the BIGShot there is a chance the tailing ring will collide with the pouch and the wt will fall back towards the BIGSHOTer. Always be positive the line will pay out free and double check you are not standing on your throwline pre release. I recommend removing the FASTattach tool for use with the BS. Because I modified my BS with a pull ball in place of the finger pull I was hit with my Rk. THe VInyl/rubber sleeve was on and the pull shot was for a 50 to 60 ft shot and I was not hurt in any way, actually not completely sure where I was hit and with what. Ring? RK? Also if you decide to change the finger pull to a ball pull it is wise to keep it short as possible. FASTattch is safe for hand throwing 1 or 2 No injury and not a biggie but just the same felt we should post this and see if anyone has anything to add.
