  1. The Cinch is the best device I've used, for me anyway. 10mm rope runs well in it.
  2. I need a groundsman to work in a small Arb team. If you would like just one day a week that's fine. Alternatively it could become full time soon. The right person is more important than a box full of certificates. Pay will be dictated by your abilities. Please call Al on 07834 414271 or PM me or email me [email protected] Thanks.
  3. What hitch system are you using? RW? HH? Uni? ?? Thanks. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  4. That is totally brilliant! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  5. Mmm. That just didn't work for me Dave. I realise I get more sit back clipped to the bridge ring but couldn't get my advancement loop to work well. I had made mine out if a piece of Cobra Brace plastic insert. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  6. Well for me, when I clipped to the loop that I put on the HH, the HH kept twisting around the carabiner a bit. That meant the slack didn't tend easily. I've found everything to be easier since clipping to the bridge ring. I'm using a Treemotion harness with the bridge at the factory set length.
  7. I've got a Jensen A540di. Charles knows mechanics, hydraulics and electrics better than anyone i've ever met.
  8. The 27HP 2 wheeled self propelled machines will fit through a gate and won't kill you like the 13hp machines do. Having a self propelled machine is SO much easier. I reckon it takes three men at the same time to operate a 13hp machine!
  9. I think you'd better book St Johns Ambulance as well. Not in case of tool related injuries but because it will end up as a brawl. Especially once the drink starts flowing. I'll come along for the boozing but then do a runner!
  10. What about these? https://www.frjonesandson.co.uk/products-page/ppe-safety-and-workwear/footwear-accessories/chainsaw-protective-footwear/elten-aquafell-xpert-chainsaw-boots-class-1/ Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  11. Anybody used these? http://honeybros.com/Item/Cervino_Wood_Chainsaw_Boots Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  12. Quality. My kind of girl! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  13. Good intelligent post Steve. However, it's got loads of horse power so it must be best, surely! 😂😂 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  14. That's exactly what works for me and what I'm doing. Two small tippers with tow balls means more versatility for taking chipper, trailer, stump grinder and moving logs and chips. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  15. Now that would be a good one to get! Or a Landcruiser pick-up or old G-Wagon pick-up. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  16. Dodge, GMC, Ford or similar pick-up truck any day of the week. They're bigger with more chrome than their European counterparts, therefore they are better. Biggest is best, innit! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  17. What about the Arbortec Scafell Trekker or XER? Anyone had more than a year in them so far? Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  18. I think the test is if the boots are still waterproof after about 14 months. Good boots are, bad boots fail at 11 months. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  19. Now that I'm a GoPro time lapse expert, here is my offering of Fridays job. I had Sarron Ward (ward.S on here) in for the day as the job needed to run smoothly. He did some free fall, some hand held and some rigging seamlessly. Access was rubbish and the drop zone was into a goat pen with rubbish fencing in every direction. (When I said I'm a time lapse expert, I meant that an awfully long time elapsed between starting editing and loading to YouTube!😳😩) Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  20. What straight man isn't. In fact I think most straight woman fancy her too! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  21. I have a client who's hedge got burnt by the gardeners bonfire. He made it green instantly by spraying it with green car paint! True story.
  22. Hi guys. My Airstreams will soon die so I wondered what to get next. I've got no problem with another pair but I'm curious about others. It's been a while since a proper boot thread ran on here and since I read every thread, you've all had at least six more months in whatever you bought last time. Requirements are: 1: Waterproof. 2: Not Haix. 3: Nothing else.
  23. That's erm, very interesting Jon, I think. Actually I don't know:confused1:
  24. Another way to utilise the gear available. It was a long drag up a slight slope. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  25. A few weeks ago my chipper started rumbling and on Wednesday the main shaft bearing failed as the last branch went through. I took it to Arbrep the following morning, before the birds were even up, and the team replaced the bearings in quick time so I could get straight back to work. Charles advised greaseable bearings instead of the sealed for life (until they break) standard ones. While this was being done, the blades were put on the sharpening machine and its like getting a new machine back. Absolutely first class service. http://www.woodchipperservices.co.uk Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
