Oh! ffs, spaz, fat chance of that fool aspiration, in ANY European country. Any Society is built on a sense of identity, which preforce will mostly be based on a local area and country. Because that is how most people live. Like fer instance, within the Irish Nationalist grouping, the Cork Men, or the people from Westport, hate them Dublin feckers, wi their flash cars and big city attitudes. Ditto within the Unionist community, even within the v. limited confines of NI. i.e. Blood is thicker than water.

Gents, Even a grumpy, non flag-waving curmudgon like me, has started to feel a bit of pride in being British. I suspect I am not the only one. This is all that is needed, confidence in our country and our abilities. And welcome hard working immigrants with open arms, as long as they learn English, abide by our Laws, and assimilate. to my knowledge, here in NI, the first MOT is already at 4 years. I would however like to see the MOT, only every other year, assuming it is/was as through as our current NI Government run and staffed MOT. As I also understand, is the already case in other parts of Europe. Not by the local garage. -
