  2. Hi, Just a quick post to put out some feelers to see if there would be much work about? Been looking to become a freelance contractor for some time now! Although currently employed. Been climber for four nearly five years as a team leader and lead climber. With experience in large reductions and takedowns, including as small domestic and street trees. Current qualifications Cs tickets: 30/31/38/39/41 including MEWP and stump grinder! Clean full uk driving license Have a 4x4 and trailer available for use as well.   3. Maybe you should get another climber then mate! I wouldn't have anyone on site looking at other people working !
  4. Just a pic of a reduction I did on a beech tree in Andover, unfortunately no before pic. Second picture is a oak which was a three meter reduction as the left side was in decline, my guess would be due to root compaction? And or disturbance as that's where the owner kept all his compost? Again no before pic! Really should start taking them !!

  10. A few from a pine in lymington. The spec was to reduce back to a 2m peg? Anyone know the reason, my only thought was to reduce the wound size ?

  12. I'd go with the dealership, my works defender has over 100k on it runs sweet and my own landy has never broken down on me in the 5 years of owning it and now has 250k on it! Still a shame to hear about yours must be a lemon
  13. Depends on the job, task, access, situation. I prefer climbing though

  15. Use to love mine until it fell onto a rockery from 80ft. I use a hitch now but wouldn't say no to another sj! Have to agree with the others the lj is a lot harder to get use to in my opinion! But everyone's different

  17. Ive done the measurement guide and come up with 45cm just between the large and medium sizes. I'm just 6 foot what do you boys recommend? Thanks

  19. Maybe you should throw in qualified into the mix!? i know guys that have 7-8 years "experience" I wouldn't even consider them proficient. It's a hard one to put a time limit on as I think everyone is different. I may have completely got the wrong end of the stick?
