glad you are ok,had the same in 1999 branch hit head and shoulder.Broke shoulder in 4 places only 4 stiches in head,please make to replace the helment stright away.

never had a load rejected for length(only had 2 down graded due to mud ie knocked about 2 ton each on the artic loads,evans were hauling to barerite timber)every commercial sawmill trims the ends any way -
what about oak,ash,beech etc all non native really syc is a lovely tree with good value and good as a nurse crop for the tree rats

what ever length you are cutting always add 2" -

2nd/3rd thinning hardwood pulp 8/10/12 (cutting and stack on own) softwood 5/7/9 (smaller sawlog,bars,stake,rails,pulp etc) proberly get shot down in flames but honest answers:001_smile: have done alot more but also done alot less:001_smile:

please tell me the syc were sawlog and tops:biggrin:have done woodland you work your nuts of to get 3-4 ton, but then you get a clearfell dougie 1-2 meter per tree, most the time its 3-4 ton:biggrin:
