  6. did a job in alton hampshire in appox 2000,chipper was a erjo 480hp whole tree chipper, scania engined,22inch,crane fed,16m3 chip bin on a timberjack1210 the machine is now owned by pracitcality brown at (i think) iver at surrey way. we (the operator derek and myself) HAD to cut,fell and extract minimum 100 tons a day i thought it could not be done,but belive it or not we done it,10 days on,4 days off 3 no 10 day shifts 3000 ton in to slough power station stright fell douglas and beech on level ground,derek is still the driver worth a call
  7. i can vouch for mr hurle top draw bloke but, MAKE sure shaun rundle is the operator,works all day with no moans

All i can say is that cowdray had acres upon acres of it cut on rotation from 3years for walking sticks,6-10 years for pailings/small fencing/shelter stakes to 12-18 for fencing products and the time i was there they used no protection. not saying things have changed would be interested if they have
  12. we done two seasons of chestnut coppice on cowdray park west sussex,it was always cut,stack and burn tops.(loved every minute). never did any protection.

  19. i would have cabstars over transits or anything come to that, but being 6foot 10inch and 22.5 stone the jap trucks dont suit me. Also they are horrible if you are doing lots of miles and the dog needs more room than a cabstar can offer
  20. like all our trucks to much good job there is only 2 or 3 vosa stops in cornwall
  21. my transit is appox 2.7ton full of fuel and me (22.5 stones light) it is a 53 plate,90psi,crewcab,3 way tipper hope this is of interest to you for best payload get a single cab nissan cabstar
