  1. Here's some Purple Plum if you want it.
  2. Wonder what he does if he traps the saw?!
  3. Cheers John, you're right, what a refreshing change to see something from government that has some clarity to it!
  4. Cheers Hodge, thought so but always good to double check. It's impossible to get hold of a tree officer round here!
  5. Can anyone tell me if it is ok to remove a couple of trees in a CA if their diameter at chest height is less than 7cm?
  6. Same as the other I gave you, Steve. I have also found another slice of the spalted Sycamore for you.
  7. Found another piece of it in my container, looks a bit rubbish, shall I chuck it on the fire pile?
  8. I've switched, it's not as comfortable as the old one, but you get used to it
  9. Thought that might come out nicely! Beautiful
  10. If you feel that bad about it, call the tree officer and get a TPO put on it.
  11. Yep, definitely. It was multi stemmed, with 4 of the stems dying back. Main stem and branches all had that colouration.
  12. Believe it or not, it's Sycamore!
  13. Steve, can you guess what this is?
  14. Here's a picture of that lump of Robinia
  15. Hi Steve, do you want any of this Oak?
  16. 0% finance is a no brainer as far as I'm concerned! Thinking of buying the new 6" TW myself.
  17. Sounds like you need to add on the ivy tax, dog s@*t tax, through the garage tax, greenhouse tax etc, etc
  18. I registered last year, and was worried about it but things have turned out fine. You lose out on the odd job due to the VAT but if your reputation is good people don't worry about it!
  19. Cheers Hodge, thought I might have been a bit out!
  20. Just thought I would mention that if your turnover is over something like £75,000 you have to go VAT registered. You can go on the flat rate scheme where you charge the full rate (20%), but you pay 9% to the Inland Revenue and keep the rest. You can't claim back VAT on all purchases, only on the big stuff, so you could claim the VAT back on your van.
