  1. OK here but relying on friends to deliver is tough. I can load with tractor but dragging a bag too much with broken collar bone.
  2. I on the other hand an avoiding Poldark that the missus has just turned on.
  3. You're reading his post on a Saturday night.........
  4. Folk don't want an ongoing cost for decades.
  5. My measured eye says about 16m³ lose logs assuming you sell logs not sticks
  6. Cough..... Think you mean big BLUNT Dolmar chainsaw.
  7. 6 out today, fly at 8pm! Orders on hold for a week.
  8. More snow on forecast and I'm on course to sell out.
  9. Sold a guy a long lump to make a replacement beam in an old house. He bought it Monday, milled it and it went into house Tuesday. I thought it had to dry....
  10. Thanks! Unreal comment aimed at couriers not yourselves!
  11. Tractor. I can't get red at the pump here anyway but it's not as if a yard tractor doing occasional deliveries is thirsty enough for me to consider a tank.
  12. I run white as deliver locally. Been checked a few times only for tester to be very disappointed.
  13. Look around the area at what others have done. Local knowledge is everything. Any rules on felling? Licence needed?
  14. £22 postage surcharge on top of £5.70 postage to Argyll. Postage doubles price. Unreal.
  15. I'm with you Mull. Huge grants going to deer fence and plant hardwoods at moment. Heard Duke of Argyll already at £350,000 for new fencing paid for by grant, AKA you, me and other taxpayers. As for wind turbines it's tax the poor to pay the rich. Grrrr
  16. I split the income from the carcasses with the farmer. Nought a farmer likes more than cash in his hand for no work. Yes when fences down and deer marauding you get asked to help but once the emergency is over thinking can change.
  17. Carcasses are getting good money from the game dealers if you're qualified to handle them.
  18. What's driving the price? Can't see where the demand is.
  19. Translation anyone?!
  20. Well a surprise call this morning and 2 bags out, sw, £150. Waiting for ✆ to ring....
  21. She agrees with you Lochearnhead quickest. Her pal reckons Stirling to get onto m/way quicker.
  22. Think it's the Daily Express readers panicking! Missus has to come cross country from Dundee to Loch Fyne next Sunday late. She's not an Express reader.
  23. It's that time of year. We're looking at heavy snow next weekend on a strong wind and folk want wood. I'm fair. Prices haven't changed all winter. Take it or leave it.
