Unfortantly the new miller&carter in Hereford is dire service quality attention to detail are poor We went on pens birthday and it was that bad we walked out complained to area manager and got gifted £100 voucher which we will save till we have a stay in Birmingham. We only go out once a month and like to have a quality meal
  5. Thanks I'm trying to weigh up if I should go for a big cheep machine for the yard or a more compact machine that wii cost more but can be used on the landscaping / trees. Decisions decisions

  11. If you pick a length up and think blooming hell that's heavy is sc the scourge of the modern firewood merchants.
  12. S chestnut low grade firewood but it burns pref keep as much air going through it as pos it takes 12 months to dry properly. Sc needs to be burnt at below 18% mc anything above that and it burns poorly
  13. Jon camp coffee is liquid coffee flavouring was used a lot in cooking
  14. I take it this is where the under ground cable fire is.
  15. Yes why would you have a tipper for bags you would need a crane that takes you down to a ton so 3 builders bags or 2 cube bags and leave your lunch box at the yard. Anybody doing any volume of firewood needs to be able to get 4 cube bags on Ive been hiding from the fact that I need a tacho for ages but I'm at the point now where I'm on the road that much vosa are going to nab or worse have an accident and the insurance be void. I'm going down the 5/7.5 tonne route it narks me but what other choice do I have.
  16. Don't take to much notice if buying graded sleepers locally you need to inspect them one by one. The contact for the sleepers has his own mill out in Latvia and is tip top on quality the only thing we ever have to do is straighten the ends but there all 20 mm longer take a look on our site the ones surrounding the wishing well are his. The gaps between the courses were done to let the water through
  17. If you need any help sourcing stuff I'm based just outside leominster
  18. Your not the first person to say that
  19. Can get you a contact for green oak sleepers what's the application. We use a lot of them and there always good quality.
  20. All the hire machines in this area are crap ring mark at m&h arb he all sort you out properly and all he does is stumps sp won't try and poach work. It all work out cheeper than hire + your time
  21. I thought I'd get that response!
  22. I'd make sure I had a rope in the top attached to the truck
  23. Suppose it depends on which LA it is as what happen in herefordshire would not be allowed in Shropshire I've seen a la crew dropping 2ft by 18 inch straight in to a closed lane today while traffic crossed in the next lane fecking joke
  24. If that was in my area I'd be looking at £275 plus tea biscuits
