  9. What a load of tosh. Most guys I know who have proper tats read a story most of mine are hidden you come across as knowing very little about subjects you post on or are you looking for a reaction.
  10. Sight welfare will cause more trouble in the long run you will get more out of your blokes if you stay down the road nothing worse than working and living in the same site,
  11. Yep I stayed in one at stanstead airport building the new hanger for the airbus 380 the other guy was a hairy stinker biker. After the second night he came back to find his stuff neatly backed on a pallet that was 40ft in the air. After explaining he'd better find another cabin or his gear would be hitting the deck he decided it was in his best interest. I lasted. Another week before booking digs on company cc
  12. Backer bags only let half the wind flow through and don't last half the time plus the bs are now hold 9.3 cube when doing hundreds of bags that .7 son builds up plus it allows you to keep the price down a little???????????
  13. One week is a bit different to week in week out. T the pop start as you mean to go on plenty of gangers willing to take the piss out of you and you can bet your bottom dollar there getting your lodging allowance. If you take lads away you look aftr em simple
  14. Why not just do what all the other guys with big kilns do and invest in a proper moister meter. What does it matter what an ivc weighs if the wood is dry. If you fill the ibc level when its dry there will be a 150mm gap where the wood dry outs and contracts
  15. Be wary of seo unless done by the right company it can be expensive for very little return if you have the right site & ppc campaign it will draw new clients in. Yes you get people that phone that will have 10 quotes and want the cheapest but you can soon weed them out. Our site has bought in more work than all our previous adverts combined. This week I've had 3 quotes for trees a big landscaping job, I've lost count of log sales but it's got to be 20 cube.
  16. That's what there for and the best ones come from bag supplies not the cheapest but don't stretch and last multiple trips.
  17. Bad practice look at all those stubs tut tut
  18. Alder for sure great firewood very under rated by a lot of log merchants drys quick as well.
  19. Wow you learn somthing new every day that's really surprised me
  20. So your saying ash weighs in more than s c
  21. Seasoned ash is more like 400/450 kg per cube of sub20% Seasoned sweet chestnut would be quite high I would say around 650/700 kg per cube of sub 20%
  22. That looks lush, use to use a cafe up in Corby that did a breakfast like that and one bigger called a belly buster. I only ever tried the belly buster once ate half of it and was full much to the disgust of lorry drivers that had travelled 40 mins to get one.
  23. When I first started lodging away 22 years ago I got b&b plus £25 at the end I was getting hotel plus breakfast plus £47.55 and a logging allowance of £250 a week.
