  1. To be honest I really like the way the navarra pulls we have a d22,so long as it's been recalled due to the engine fault there good pullers.Clutches can be weak supposdly but ours has never been a bother but if you ever replace one just fit an uprated one.We regularly tow 3 ton with ours over 35 miles each way.Hasn't ever missed a beat.Because it pulls so easily the ful consumption using BFG all terrains is actually pretty damn good.Although not on public highway it was in the woods we did have the trailer full up and past the ladder racks And the pickup bed full of fresh pine must have easily been 5 ton in it at least, the front wheels were hovering off floor,it never went above 2 thousand revs with that lot on just plodded on easily albeit steering was gauge as haha
  2. Haha to be honest I'm just sad and bored most the time,I'm straight edge so I don't drink, smoke do drugs or let loose much be four years since even stood in a pub and that was working on doors,Always find have an endless amount of time on me Ron Tod ( small violin out ) haha.Figured may aswell make the cash if had nothing else better to do of a late evening
  3. Nope, well at least not as far as I'm aware. He sold them his loss lol.Should have done his market research and got som business savvy before jumping on my turf haha.
  4. Alot of people seem to charge the earth for these and they never sell.End o day it's a naff dried out knotty bit of softwood,it costs peanuts to make and I can knock out 200 in a day easily.Last year I cruised the beaches at night loaded with these and log nets selling them to young party goers,Sat with them had good natter showed them how to light them and get goodfire going,I made a killin had a 24 hour callout number to go drop them at house partys late at night at a marked up pice aswell .Lots of fresh little ideas to get log sales roaring
  5. Good god king crimson no wonder they cheesed you off.
  6. I'm down in the land of red mud barrow in furness only half hour down rd from you.Not as picturesque as grange Hana
  7. They sound nice, just over done and lacking in power without chucking horrendous amounts of cash at them.Sure twas an old Austin I seen that had a fairly light tuned rover k series in.That thing was sickeningly quick even tho it's a poncy four banger.Only thing rover v8's have in there favour is they are one of the lightest V8's to chuck in.Like the bonnet mounted gauge panel
  8. Haha said like true Cumbrian. What part of south lakes do you come from then pad?
  9. I was happy with how well the response was to them.I would love to sell at a local garden centre however must say I don't have any idea how to approach larger customer areas like that.If wasn't for the Swedish candles I'd have had bit of poor month cashflow wise No tree work, and everyone around my area seems to clicky to want me to work for them.Been a summer of chimnea fire logs Swedish candles and alot of carved furniture lol.
  10. Lot of music festivals going on lately I've sold over 120 this past month as folk been taking them with them to these fstivals.
  11. Cool another rod fan I'd bin the rover v8 as blasphemous as that sounds and chuck in a pinto it would be faster and handle miles better it'd just lacking the v8 burble. It's becoming more common to pop in none conventional lumps in place of the regular boring small blocks. could try a cologne lump at least it'd still be a V and you would already have 160ish bhp to work with.
  12. Grippingg anything seems to set it off as does vibrations fom saw I think.I've been icing like crazy taking anti inflams, and alot of trigger point therapy however it still stays with me.It's an annoying problem.Been offered the cortisone jabs but I've heard there worse than leaving it.I've had twoo and half weeks of training, only activitiy I have had has been logging up firewood and alot of hedges to cut and sweep.
  13. Prices are indeed nutty at moment I agree, tried for ages to get mortgage, however as never lent penny in my life I don't have a credit rating haha. Our old neighbour was a chav nugget with loud music every hour of everyday,I started chainsaw carving every day at that point.Stay chilled pad ain't worth busting blood vessell over a one off.If becomes regular we should organize a saw off in your garden haha.
  14. Where bouts you at Marc?Hardwood is thin on ground up here of late as you probably have noticed
  15. Well dos Santos absolutly Mullered carwin I see.Hopefully lesnar will come back and not quit. However I feel his diverticulitis is just an easy way to slip out the limelight. As much as I like the guy as a fighter,he just simply hates being hit in the face,he panics and flaps and runs backwards however he is a raw talent and I'd love to see him wear the heavyweight belt again.
  16. Ordered the bib and brace version.Well they are stitched very well, feel alot chunkier material than stihl hi flex by country mile.Crotch and ass have doubl the fabric for extra wear. The vents are nice and breezy also. I really cannot fault how well made they are for the cash. They look nice and snazzy in grey and orange.I'd highly recommend them to anybody who wants a cheap alternative to the bigger names. The customer service is top notch aswell, with very fast delivery.
  17. It'd save me fuel and wear and tear on the saws and sawbench.I did that last year with some wet as sin bulk bags that went real cheap,Put the sucker out of business haha he couldn't get any wood the year after.
  18. Apparently was no better 30 odd year back hodge according to grandmother. As in most cases it is indeed human nature to find biggest load for cheapest Price.Hhowever it only takes them to buy one sodden load that won't stay lit of the cheaper guy. And they will be calling.Sod playing price wars let them work themselves out the market. There are folk I know filling ifor twin axles for 30 quid, but Its wet poor stuff.
  19. I did consider a canter or somthing similar myself, however I like making big bucks in winter when it's busy and if weather gets bad I still can get loads out I'll just put snoplow on front Hana
  20. here is the old girl
  21. Hi ben bud if you check arbtrucks out I have some pics in there in the members arbtrucks thread. If you want I could email you thru a few pics?
  22. As mentioned mk2 l200 but isn't a kingcab sadly.Ours has been rolled, bounce of trees and generally been battered.Paid £400 quid for it owes me nowt now.Had it popping wheelies uphill with few monster loads on. What sort budget you wanting to spend?
  23. I use an old l200.Home tipper conversion. It cost peanuts to do and never let us down.It carries just over 2 cube with ease.Is alot better off road than the new ones and is a fair bit more durable. They change hands for £500 bats for fairly good one, dosnt matter if gets beat up then. For delivering bags I'll just throw them in truck cab series 2 same if I'm towing large amount.
  24. I have all but given up on hardwood now,fed up of its price hike and lack of availability, and there is nothing that gets up my nose worse than really twisty timber, unless its hawthorn i love that stuff.I am a huge larch advocate aswell it sold like hot cakes last year.
  25. Thanks very much for the help guys, not only is it rather lucky they are nearly bang on a cube but by seeing how you multiplied it I now know how to work it out in future.Spot on
