  1. Guess u willed quite hard then stubby as they did it regardless of receipt... Yay, one happy customer.. now to strike it up :D:D
  2. Thanks man... Would you believe it I'm here but my receipt isn't if it's not too costly ill just buy it haha else it might wait till new year.. how bad is the original part just for short term use?
  3. Scratch that, it's being done this afternoon:thumbup:
  4. Quick question guys on the attachment point.. I have my new t540 and noticed the strop point has the grey center, from above posts I gather its the old one.. if I pop into my local dealer (not the supplier of saw) will they change it? Or can they refuse? I don't suppose they're obligated.. just wondered if it was changeable while I'm in there later... All help greatly appreciated can't wait to strike it up :D
  5. Had my share of it this year, ordered break band Tuesday came Friday, got my dealer to send my t540xp over night to see if that changed anything... No luck haha collected Thursday evening still waiting, hoping for Monday
  6. Mine is in the post... Christmas post can't wait to fire it up.. does anyone think husky will improve that rear spring?
  7. No choice to make... The 550xp wins.
  8. We need to start a campaign Mark... My new t540 will be with me next week.. Christmas will officially be early this year haha.. do you think an email per day will convince them.. or a forum vote.
  9. Like your style
  10. New year sounds good, could be a nice gathering.. plenty of time to source location and permissions where needed. Keep us I formed guys and I for one will deffo try and make it.
  11. Let me know if something gets arranged, I may be able to make it.
  12. In my experience, The work has to be done but u must confirm with TO.. once you tell highways people your doing the work the timer on them doing it gets extended as the client is taking the appropriate action.
  13. I reckon your right.. all that switch stuff and the hh pack.. might make it bad on ergonomics or rsi in wrist or fingers.. total guesswork though.
  14. The t540 was a slam dunk.. I know a few who have tried both and prefer the 201, but they are fast becoming a minority... I can't wait to get myself one but if they'd made an xp g.. I know husky owners who will swap in winter to a Stihl if a hh is available even on a worse saw.. a better saw with hh, market sown up tight for a decade imo.
  15. You can't tell me husky didn't think about it when building the t540xp... Bet it was a big debate.
  16. I often wonder why they've not done it... I figure its a weight and size thing but I'd sooooo deal with both issues for toasty hands up high.
  17. +1 on the 560xp g ... Been glad of my heated handle a couple of times this year already.. I'm sure it'll be worth it's weight in gold come winter :D
  18. Gutted for you buddy.. mine is still totally faultless at over 4 months now.
  19. +1 for the 560xp g.. I've had mine 4 months now and it's amazing.. 18" bar lives on it
  20. I have to say I'd pay 100 for it :D... I'd also try and ride it
  21. Think that wraps it up.
  22. I've just asked my dealer to confirm mine.
  23. Great news... It'd be nice to clear up this warranty issue though... 1 or 2 years is I big difference... I mean I'm happy with the standard 1 yr but 2 yrs warranty would be one more nail in the Stihl coffin imo
  24. Not a bad idea.. the threads for 550 and 560 have proved good in helping people with many things relating to the new husky range. I have one of these coming in the next month and I'll watch this thread eagerly for set up tips and running in advise.. can't wait :D
