  3. I'm afraid that your unlikely to get anything better than scrap for that kind of money. I'm thinking of selling my smaller/older saws (023 & 2x 025) but I could get double that on fleabay. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Persuaded Dad to get one after his saws walked last time. I haven't used it yet but it does look like a very nice saw. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. I'm in the respect camp. She did some very good things but also some bad things. RIP. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Glad your sorted. Been looking into tool insurance after hearing a local fellow arb had his saws stolen for a second time within a month. The one company I did speak to said they can't insurance a garage with an up&over door. Interested to hear what company's others are with. What premiums for how much cover? Thanks in advance. 7. No problem mate. The Arb show is Friday 14th & Saturday 15th June. Hotel website says minimum say of two days at weekends but i'll contact Frank and see if he can do a deal. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Maybe we could all meet up with jon at the AA show. If you don't want to camp, an old friend of mine has a hotel in Crudwell which is less than 10 miles from the show. I was thinking of staying there. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. Just like to say a big thank you to Mr & Mrs Eggs for being such great hosts. Really didn't expect dinner, bed and breakfast, much appreciated. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. It's surprising what a small cc quad can do. I bought an old kwaka KLF220 for a job - I use it quite often now. It can pull my TW150 around no problem. S/h quads fetch a good price, any working quad generally goes for £1000+. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. Used a 2stroke/diesel mix for a short while recently. Employee picked up the wrong jerry to top-up the combi can. Saws still work fine although they did smoke a bit! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Always done the servicing on my 150. Spectrum Plant do a service kit for all the filters. They also sell the engine oil, which I think is 10-30. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  15. Gardenworks. Michael's a real decent bloke. He had a chipper go last year, now it's his small machines and climbing kits. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Got a text this morning from another Arb firm in Cambridge. Robbed last night. Kept his big machines this time but lost all chainsaws, climbing kits and stuff. It's beyond a joke, the amount of it in this area!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. Welcome to self employment. If this is your first year then you may not realise that when you submit your first tax return they will want you to pay tax owed on your first period PLUS 50% up front on your next years tax (based on the same earnings as the first year) - sometimes catches people out. On the figures you've mentioned, 20% would probably still cover it. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Absolutely. Police have their hands tied by government policies and the laws they have to uphold which in turn is dictated to them by Europe. The longer that that goes on the softer this country will get. I'm sure most cops would love to revert to the good old days when rowdy youths got a clip round the ear and criminals got a good kicking in the cells. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. Forgot to say, nice one for saving the cat Treesnatcher. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. Spot on, and if they are thieving scum, I hope they do a lot more than dragging them out of the truck. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  22. David, is any allowance made for people with dyslexia? I've never insisted on extra time in any of the exams i've sat as I consider mine to be quite mild but i think that i may struggle with that amount of assignments. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

All I got was one of the hand tool lots. About 8 tools including a beet fork and rake for £30 - I don't think that was too bad. Sold a spade from the lot to someone else within a couple of minutes so made a bit back. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
