    husq 372?

I've got a 372 and it's a great saw. Dad's got a 461 and that also seems very good. I think you'd be happy with either - but i'd go for the 372. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Theres only two events that i can remember clearly what I was doing when I heard the news; first was Diana's death, the second is 911. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Well don Steve. I was only going to put your name forward for a knighthood. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. I service my TW150 which consists of: Engine flush Oil and oil filter change Fuel and inline filters changed Air filter cleaned or changed Blade change if needed Change antifreeze. Probably takes about 2 hours and cost of filters/fluids would be about £70ish Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. The only two that come to mind for me are: First day using a new stump grinder (first time using one) the machine sent a bit of flint flying which hit my colleague in the shin. He was hopping/limping for months. After dropping him off at A&E, i carried on at the next job and put a stone through a patio window. Not a good day. Quickly leant to use shin-pads and guards. After a really hard day on a massive Poplar I reversed the truck into the chipper and knocked it over. It thanked me by emptying all (5 litres-ish) of its engine oil all over the road. 14. Got asked a question the other day that I wasn't too sure on the answer. The situation is that a small local village has recently had several privately owned trees that have had lower branches struck by high vehicles. It's not a major through route but a double-decker sight seeing bus sometimes gets re-dircted through the village. The question posed was what's the legal position of branches over the highways; is the tree owner responsible for the crown high and liable for any vehicle damage or is it the road-user's that should be driving with due care and attention. The Gov leaflet that I found states the heights that trees should be over highways and that the highways agency can issue notice to tree owners but whats the legal stand point? Are owners only liable if they get a notice and don't carry out he works? http://www.basingstoke.gov.uk/NR/rdonlyres/CAFCEE2D-CD9C-4FF4-8FEA-C7FE47CDCFF2/0/Leaflet10TreesOverhangingtheHighway.pdf Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. I had a good look round the tow Chipper and was very impressed. Unfortunately according to the brochure, it's well over the 3/4 ton weight threshold. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  20. I'd second that! The two things that i always climb with now is a Pantin and tape slings. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. Well chuffed! Got home yesterday to find one of the nice cardboard backed envelopes, the ones you get certificates in. I passed! I knew that the theory exam didn't go great and that i only got 3 or the 4 fungi id's correct but thankfully getting 19 out of 20 on one of the tree inspections dragged me above the 70% pass mark. 25. Just about to send my cheque off for the East-Anglian Rigging Workshop held at Thetford forest. But why do us easterners have to pay £50 instead of £36? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
