  1. was there quite a few mod 281/181 saws as we have one too good old saw but a pig to start

  3. the problem with turbos on chippers is full load stop start let em idle for five mins before and that should preserve the turbo:thumbup:

  5. if you keep the cutters in decent nick you can manage with a small one i.e. 13hp we manage and we make a good profit on one

  8. they cant be that good at plant thefts these things are quite simple to hotwire even to lift the legs is quite easy all you need is a portapower as the cylinders have pilot op check valves in them you can take the pins out of them and hold them up with ratchet straps the biggest problem with plant is the fact that most manufacturers use 1 or 2 keys for the whole range not a good idea

  10. why dont you get along to a local fastener supplier and get them instead of farting about with manufacturers they obviously aren't interested in your business
  11. just pulling your leg FairPlay for doin all that with a hand saw i would have gave up after 5 mins with a handsaw
  12. gates are good belts fenner also toothed belts i think are better if its small dia pulleys as they dont heat up as much and they have more surface area to shift the heat speak to your local bearing supplier they will help you out:thumbup:

  20. teeth destroy the greenstones that you use. Get a diamond disc
  21. thats the ticket looks like a good piece of kit when we were in whitby last week we went on the road between whitby and pickering and on the moors there was baled up heather have they started using heather for biomass or for some other reason
  22. for finger teeth we were using a bench grinder but it was taking too long now we just use one off those diamond discs as it saves taking the teeth off and the finish is pretty good just remember its a stump grinder not a lathe
