  1. Hi Guys Just checking on the ID of this photograph. I think its Acer henryi, but the leaf stalk is greener on my specimen and the large leaflet is toothed ab bit like Acer davidii. Im almost but not quite certain its Acer henryi! Cheers Nick
  2. Good point Steve, you charge what you feel your worth regardless of the task. No point doing things for less just because you like the sound of the work Personally though I would suggest pulling ragwort and burning it on site. It does become palatable to horses when drying out. Not good = dead horse.
  3. Interesting Andrew. I think you might be onto something there. Hope you get some good responses to that one. You might try linkedIn, there are some bushcraft people and wilderness survival and forest schools people on there. You just need to find them! Cheers Nick

  6. Hi RobArb Book of leaves by Allen J. Coombes and Zsolt Debreczy. Good find!! Just ordered it from Amazon. Thanks for the head up.
  7. Ive used solos and didnt get on with them. Poor fitting fillers and leaky triggers to name a few issues. I moved over to cooper peglers series 2000 CP15. A joy to use, feels much more robust. Well recommended.
  8. Thanks RobArb, I will myself delve deeper into the mysteries of ID. Trouble is my memory is shot, I often recognise things but forget their names and vice versa! Trying to do too much methinks! Im interested to know what that big book of leaves is, is it a purchase or a collection you have put together?
  9. Eh RobArb Help us out here.. How did you come to your conclusion? (Not confrontational, I just cant work it out) Ive had a look and come up with Manna, Red and Green!!! Argh Mr Mitchell (my guide book). i cant tell!! Cheers Nick

  15. Hi Gollum Thanks for the advice I will check the av mounts. it looks similar to yours, has got a rear roller, I cant remember off hand whats on the makers plate, but it is Italian. I find it lifts up easily on the front when you run over obstacles, even apples! i didnt know whether to put some extra weight on the flail to keep it down. What do you think?
  16. No it was on my wish list, I thought it would be useful for going to the shops! but im not sure now. I reckon I could easily crash that.
