    Hi-viz

Agree, I find that yellow hi viz goes green within no time in tree work and that defeats the object! Orange is my favourite colour, it stands out better to my eye and it matches the chipper, saws, and my flash Harry stihl x-fits!!! Orange all the way!!!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. Sweet as a nut mate!!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  9. 300 mile round journey and 6 hours in the car........NO!!!!!!!!!!! 5 mins round the corner.......you could show your support but don't have high expectations (as I did based on how much I enjoyed the show in previous years). It's free to trade and students - thank goodness because I would have been very miffed if I had paid for entry! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. Rich..... Dwindle is an understatement! I was really looking forward to today. Brought three lads with me having bigged up how much they would enjoy the arb show (none of them had been to one before). I couldn't hide my disappointment when we arrived and I had to apologise for dragging my mates from Dorset to be there for less stalls than my local village farmers market gets on a Wednesday. Gutted as I too used to love this show. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  14. Taupo that is exactly what I needed to read. Thank you for posting it up! Just had a bollocking from my old man on the phone to say enjoy yourself more. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. I've seen a few tweets on my twitter feed about this. According to what I have read Petzl say they are investigating. I hope the person who fell is ok, and I hope the zigzag as a product isn't compromised. Was looking forward to getting one!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Not only does it cut very well, but you can achieve precision with it too. I've tried all the main arb design silkys and find the natanoko to be the best for both elements. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. Been 3 times, mega festival. Like any festival the discomfort of sharing a long drop with tens of thousands can be testing. But the variety of music and eclectic mix of people makes it an extraordinary experience, the green fields are brilliant too. I loved the fact that you could be learning to juggle with the circus skills area, then whittle a spoon in the green fields, watch an unknown acoustic artist or African drumming group, go and watch international super groups on the main stage, go mental to drum and bass in a silent disco, or do a 'kilnsman' through 2ft of sloppy mud all in a day!! 20. Bang on. I was playing with air fix models and meccano when maggie was in power, therefore don't feel that I am best qualified to get stuck into the very interesting debates on both MT threads. I do however respect her and feel her death should be respected too. It baffles me that people don't have better things to do with their time than celebrate in such a way! 21. Meant to add underneath the above quote, that I quite agree.... This has been a fascinating read and I'm really enjoying the discussion. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  23. I found that I was spending so much on disposing of unprocessed green waste that saving money (tipping chip for free or even selling it!) alone meant I was vastly better off. Add into the mix that you can fit more onto your truck when chipped this added greatly to efficiency when out on a job. After a deposit of approx £4500 my chipper costs me £212 a month, it's a business cost that actually makes me money along with the savings on waste. Plus it's nice to know its a new piece of machinery and you know it's history once you have started using it. Approaching three years on since I purchased it I haven't regretted it for a moment and only wished I could have afforded the deposit sooner!! Hope this helps Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. I've polished out the faint minor ones with colour based polish but there are a few beauties that went too deep to polish out unfortunately!! I might try my old mans buffer with some buffing compound to see if that helps. It can be a bit aggressive but you can get decent results as long as you don't go too mad with it!!
