  1. One handed dangle - what a nut job!!!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. Kingston lacey is far to close for comfort. I shall be battening down the hatches regardless of them appearing to be moving on or not
  3. As someone who drives arb trucks with chippers or land rovers all the time... I by the very nature of the beast drive slower than most on the roads. My personal pet hate up there with tail gating and lane hogging is when people overtake you then immediately cut back in front of you at speed missing your front bumper by millimetres.... yes technically they are going faster than you and will be 2 miles down the road further than me in no time but its very dangerous, not to mention a major distraction (due to the shock and surprise of it).
  4. Transit tipper arb truck, defender 130 tipper arb truck and defender 90 for towing stumper, quoting and fun.
  5. Having completed a 6 hour round trip with 3 mates (who had not been to an arb show before) I was very very disappointed on arrival to 'the show'. As I commented in another thread, my local village farmers market has more stalls than the capel show did. I was truly embarrassed that I had been talking up the show (which I have previously really enjoyed incidentally) to my friends only to turn up and hear them say "are you winding us up"!! Many more stands required, manufacturers, displays, maybe some green woodworking, spoon carving and the like etc required. I won't be returning to the show unless I see an extensive, confirmed line up in advance for next year. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Thanks Jon, bit more t-cutting and re-spraying to do yet but fingers crossed she will be a good'un! Sign writing to go on too.
  7. Pic of the 130 tipper (new to me) out working yesterday....Will upload a few more soon.
  8. Like the big green arb travelling machine there Paul - are you tempted? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. In fairness trust explained to me that it was due to me starting a new policy for the vehicle. In a few years it should come down in price. But i think i will be phoning around tomorrow to try and get a few prices.
  10. Is it just me or does my quote seem high? Perhaps im expecting too much (or too little if you get my drift?!!)
  11. They obviously cover it for business use? in the past NFU wouldnt cover my defender 90 for business use!
  12. The quote from trust was high. ive been driving nearly 13 years, near 8 years no claims (on two other policies) clean license (sp30 still showing from 4 1/2 years ago) storm damage claim from near five years ago.... they wanted £1080 any driver over 25 and £860 for just me. They have always been reasonable for my transit, defender 90, tools, EL & PL insurance but i felt this was high. They said it was because its a new policy and they could only mirror 2 years no claims.
  13. Just agreed a deal to buy a 130 tipper. Very excited, pics to follow later in the week. Only downside is the insurance is going to be extortionate. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. Prevention is better than cure I.e drink lots of water! But for when the cramp sets in try 'crampex' tablets (Not to be confused with women's sanitary products!!) They are amazing and seem to do the trick for when I get bad cramp. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. Don't think it's until end of August mate. Maybe time for you to plan a cheeky trip to Dorset?!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Your Right there Paul!! Baton down the hatches ------------------------------- I'm going so ill see you there Matt, is silky coming? My mates brother in law will be bringing his traction engine and living wagon up from Cornwall so no doubt ill be roped into polishing brass as well as drinking the odd cider! 17. I pay a lot of money in 'charges' each month. I'm with Natwest and of late have been rather unimpressed with the number of mistakes they have been making. The thing that gets my goat the most is having to pay them to pay in cash. A necessary evil - banks Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Underground, black market, illegal top handle sales if they get banned. And underground, illegal top handle usage by arbs everywhere!
  19. Ahhhhhh - Thacthers cider!! used to love calling in to top up my flagon on the way home from work! Those were the days Ive also worked out the relevance of your avatar name.... Lyncombe wood???
